T-Mac and Vince Carter were a duo I consider as iconic as Malone and Stockton. They won no ring together but they lost their fight with their head high. They made me care about the Raptors, an expansion team I considered as hot garbage before they put it on the map... Tracy had the mind of a tiger, but didn't have a body hardy enough to keep up the pace. Truly sad but what can you do when you're born injury prone...
Prime T-Mac has the smoothest game I’ve ever seen. His teams were awful and he was plagued with injuries, otherwise we all know what T-Mac would have done with someone like Shaq.
That was à fair assessment! IMO Due to injuries and a lack of championships Tracey will just be considered a very good player but not and outstanding player! But if he been on the right team and had a few less injuries he would've been a top 20 player!
I remember I scored like 70 points with him once in a 2k game using only him going Kobe mode in his last game just shooting it every time. It was so fun though. He was definitely my favorite player at that time his jump shot was so smooth.

most NBA star players have one career altering injury, after that one they are never the same, T-Mac had his in the age of 26, what's worse is his partner Yao Ming was another made-of-glass star, they just keep getting injured in turns, there was one period both of them were healthy and that season the Rockets got 22 wins straight.
Penny hardaway was so skilled, too. He got hurt which was a shame. Tracy was the guy Jerry Krause wanted. I think getting rid of Pippen was part of the deal.
He was the only superstar on his team in Orlando... Bryant had Shaq, Duncan had Parker/Ginobili, Billups had Wallace/Wallace, Pierce had Walker, Iverson had Mutombo, etc. etc.
Why NBA new players are good late 90s and early 20s because they wanna be like Mike, moves, dominate, and accomplishments and became like Kobe, Iverson, Vince, and more, but why players are physically good but something missing on all coming players now because they watched LBJ and believed LBJ was the best NBA player had.
Tracy mgrady just needed to be on champion team or a super potential champion team like The heat..or Boston Celtics or Dallas mavs ...or San Antonio spurs these were champion teams in his time erra

No he wouldn't. Not even a top 15 player all time. McGrady was insanely gifted but he would of never of been a top 10 player for a couple reasons. He was average on defense. Also he wasn't the best passer. For being 6'8 he was a bad rebounder averaging 5.6 per game. For comparison jordan was 6'6 and played in an era with less rebounds to be had and he averaged 6.2 per game. Then go to field goal percentage. Jordan shot 49.7% from the field. McGrady shot 43.5% from the field. Jordan shot 83.5% from the free throw line. McGrady shot 74.6% from the free throw line. Not saying prime McGrady wasn't great he just isn't top 10 great.
@@865style if he would've develop earlier and no injuries ..he would've been too 10 top 5 all time. Jordan shot 43% for his career..he shot 49% one season. Machradu was a shooting guard at 6'8. @@intrepido4695 you said Jordan shot 43% for his career?? Can you not Google his stats?? His career field goal percentage is 49.7% not 43%. You say if McGrady would not of sat for a couple seasons. McGrady never even made a finals let alone win a ring. I don't think anybody in the history of the NBA could lead a team like Jordan did. Take a team of decent players...not an all star line up.. and turn them into NBA champion 6 times. The only other real All star he had on the team was Pippin. Kukuc was as good too, but not like Pippin. He was also a better finisher. Possibly the best finisher in NBA history. And his level of competitiveness was probably also the most the NBA had ever seen in his history
@@gregdickey1336 this is just my opinion but from watching, Bryant was double teamed way more, he was the better tough shot maker, the better mid range scorer, and the better 3P shooter. Also, Jordan played with Horace Grant, BJ Armstrong and Dennis Rodman who were all All-Stars. Dennis Rodman was also a DPOY who led the league in RPG multiple times
if not the injuries he was rank in 12 place in history of the game. michael, kobe ,magic ,pippen ,hakeen ,shaq ,kareem ,willt ,russell ,bird ,iverson, t-mac.
1 of my fav dunker!
3 ads and a sponsored ad before the first minute of the video is a little much bro.
The Bulls was going to draft T-Mac.
I agree with the caption on the thumbnail
His prime was short dew to injury
C'mon Kerr I respect you but T MAC didn't NEED to impact anyone... He was THE SILENT ASSASSIN!!! 💪🏻🏀
TMAC my fave baller of all time
Top 5 wings best scorers of all time :
1-MJ
2-the black Mamba
3- Tmac
4-Kevin Durant
5-James Harden
We're gonna find out how good harden is after this rule change
I didn't think we'd ever see another McGrady but KD is pretty close. KD is actually better but McGrady's game was something else to watch.
Please do a VINCE CARTER!
- greatest dunker ever
Top 20 in scoring
-8 time all star- 4x of them leading the nba
-rookie of the year
-olympic gold and led the team in scoring
-sportsmanship award
- most seasons ever played
- oldest player to ever play
Many more but still being disrespected and was jot part of the top 75 players according to espn!
Mcgrady had great technical skills, he just had too short of a prime and didn't get a chip.
I dont think winning championships matters when it comes to rating individuals. Teams win championships, not individuals.
All I had to do is hear what Kobe thought about him
Kobe became the goat after tmac became injured. That’s literally how good he was. He even had a 90 mph fast ball.
most NBA star players have one career altering injury, after that one they are never the same, T-Mac had his in the age of 26, what's worse is his partner Yao Ming was another made-of-glass star, they just keep getting injured in turns, there was one period both of them were healthy and that season the Rockets got 22 wins straight.
McGrady is my Fav Player until now and no matter what happen he is still one of the Goat.
Penny hardaway was so skilled, too. He got hurt which was a shame. Tracy was the guy Jerry Krause wanted. I think getting rid of Pippen was part of the deal.
Yes t mac
I'll leave everyone with this he's a hall of famer balla
All that needs to say about TMac is he never made it too the 2nd round of the NBA in his prime.
He was the only superstar on his team in Orlando...
Bryant had Shaq, Duncan had Parker/Ginobili, Billups had Wallace/Wallace, Pierce had Walker, Iverson had Mutombo, etc. etc.
It's a team game stupid..y'all not fans of basketball..
It's a team game stupid
Mj, next penny hardaway, next t mac
T mac fans know what's up boss playa plus Dem addi's whoa don't say nutting negative
Tracy mgrady just needed to be on champion team or a super potential champion team like The heat..or Boston Celtics or Dallas mavs ...or San Antonio spurs these were champion teams in his time erra
in an era where defense still mattered
He be a top 5 player of all time..if it wasn't for the injuries..he had what Jordan had and Kobe had. This guy could had started for any other team in the league as a rook..the raptors had a set starting line up..taking away the chance for him to develop faster.
Can knock em for not rebounding better than that. He was a killer like Jordan and Kobe. And sat on the bench for 3 years as a raptor. Also the bulls organization was even thinking about trading for him..we're ready to let go of pippen for mcgrady. To build a team around him knowing they were going to break up the team. 😉 Facts.
@@intrepido4695 you said Jordan shot 43% for his career?? Can you not Google his stats?? His career field goal percentage is 49.7% not 43%. You say if McGrady would not of sat for a couple seasons. But Jordan played 3 years in college and didn't start his first year. McGrady got to polish his skills with better talent at 18. McGrady was not a killer like mj or kobe. McGrady never even made a finals let alone win a ring. And yes they wanted to trade pippen because pippen was on very bad terms in Chicago where he basically sat out a lot of the season on purpose because he waited to have surgery late. Michael jordan did not want McGrady. Facts lol. The only reason the bulls gm looked into trades was because of everything that was going on. Do you just make stuff up lol. Where did you get that Jordan shot 43% from the field for his career??
was Tmac the one that came out of the same draft as Tim Duncan? Or am I thinking Marcus Camby?
My top 5 favorite players
Damn idk Zeke drafted TMAC... That's AWESOME....
I have to disagree with the title saying he's just as gifted as Jordan. T mac was very gifted but not like Jordan. Jordan was stronger then t mac while being able to jump higher with a longer hang time. Jordan's hands are insanely big which was so important for what he did.
He really should’ve made it on the top 75 players
He relied, on his great talent, but didn't have Mj's, Kobe's or Lebron's work ethic and dedication to improving his body and skills.
Should do one on monte Ellis
Growing up a Magic fan, T Mac before injuries was better than Kobe.
Take away the injuries on both sides and answer this…
Who was the best Orlando Magic player wearing #1? Tracy McGrady or Penny Hardaway?
hi Shawn, i think Tmac is the greatest what-if with Penny Hardaway and Grant Hill, but still they are great players.
Never passed 1st round. Not even in East. No excuses. In West with Yao (2 HoFs) they couldnt beat Carlos Boozer. "But hey he scored a lot buckets" Tmac was Adrian Dantley and we all know what ppl used to say about him.
