- Bank account is one of the considerations you have to make once you move to a new country. It's an important one. You don't want to waste your hard earned money on accounts that charge you at every step of the way, don't provide you with security and features that you use.
In this video I am discussing 3 bank accounts that I use in Spain. Why I use them and what features, benefits they bring along.

What kind of bank account are you looking for ?
Apart from points mentioned above, my favourite ones are with the money in it.
Neobanks like revolut in Spain that don't give you a Spanish IBAN,Revolut isn't any good now they have let Spanish taxman right in

I would try N26 , but honestly at the moment I am not 100% sure that they don't ask for NIE. They definitely shouldn't ask for proof of address.
I opened a bank account with Caixa. I find it super hard to work with them, and I find them discriminatory as well. So I am planning to switch to ING after watching your video. thanks Paulius. :)

Spanish banks are discriminatory against everyone, including the people from Spain

Hey , as far as I remember there was no need to talk. Just to turn your head side to side etc. and youd need to submit a photo of a document prior to that
How should I open a bank account with a foreign passport as I am from outside Spain but I am currently living in Madrid? I have prof of address and passport only.
For Revolut I dont think you would need anything else. But for 26 and ING youd need NIE. So if you need a card to bank with now. Id open Revolut and try to sort out NIE asap
Hi Sabadell are telling me they wont give me a non resident account (In advance of residencia appt) unless I take out private medical insurance with them. That's outrageous and discriminatory. How do I transfer funds to show Policia if banks are demanding I take out insurance to obtain an account
Hmm haven’t dealt with Sabadell personally. What kind of transfer of funds youd be doing? Also to be honest I don’t think Police will be able to help if bank has such policy
Hello! I will soon have a contract in Spain and I want to open a bank account online before I go to Spain. I have a NIE number but no residence/address yet. Which bank should I choose so that I can receive my salary there?
Hey! It’s a bit of a though one. Would it be possible for your employer to wait for confirmation of your bank details or would their allow to use address of their office until you find a place?
Most banks would need address and will send you some personal info. So either delaying to pass that info or sending it to the employer might be best options

Should be able to. I have both open. But at the same time I opened Revolut when it wasn’t with Spanish IBAN yet ( now they moved it and giving Spanish IBAN ).
But even then having both shouldn’t be the problem

I have just accepted a job offer in Barcelona and the company helping me with the move recommended BBVA, i wonder if it's good
From all other conventional banks, BBVA is probably one of the best options i'd say

I lived in Spain for a little less than a year two years ago. I bought an apartment and opened an account with Santander. They are horrible! Whatever you do not open up an account with them!
