I'm a 51, an old punk rock metal guitarist (love about every but opera), and this has me choked up. It's just ridiculous . I'm assuming she is a rocket scientist or something on the side because I can't imagine trying to control the space ship she has laid out on stage. There are other songs and other versions of this I like more, but I keep coming back to this and couldn't figure out why. There isn't one part of the song/vid I don't adore but.. after (roughly) 50 goes of it, turns out my favorite part is that ending, with that slightly silly smile to the crowd, and that accidental tap of the guitar against the mic. I can't help it. It's so human, and Tash makes it very difficult to see anything less than a legendary music god through all of their performances. Every human gesture or look is quite mind boggling next to Tash as a whole. And they're kind of my favorite parts of every video. I can't help but smile along in elated confusion. The world has a lot of catching up to do before Tash has the recognition they truly deserve. Some artists have raw talent that comes through, some have an unwavering dedication to their craft that borders on lunacy in its work ethics.. some have a spark whose source you can't see as they shine so bright, some are natural entertainers who seem to move with their audience, and still others have the voice of angels riding to battle. Tash has it all. And then some. The years of dedication to their art is obvious, but no amount of practice can deliver what they do without pure talent and passion along side the dedication. And it is, beyond any doubt in my mind, art. There's just to much there to simply call it music. I truly hope Tash never stops playing. The idea I may get to watch this person grow and their art follow that growth.. something I'm sure every fan is looking forward to.
