Actually, it looked more or less mediocre back then. There were games that looked better already released, like wipeout. It still looks good, but it is far from mind blowing.
Christopher Guerra This game was on the same demo Disc that came with my Playstation which had playable demos of Wipeout and Warhawk. Warhawk was the most visually impressive game back at launch and still holds up really good even today. That being said, this game still had good looking graphics for its time. Wipeout and especially Warhawk were just that good looking.
So addicted to this Game ! 😀 This was my first Game on PS1with Twisted Metal worldtour. Both are perfection Games and changed my Life 👍 🎉 I know all maps today 😁
They should make a new one definitely, i remember playing the demo and liking it so much that i got the full game. It did lack courses and could have been a bit longer & harder on the season/story mode though. If a new one was made today i would like to see more courses, more types of bonus rounds, more upgrades for everything, online multiplayer, also a funny announcer before & after races.. there's probably more but i can't think of anything now.
PRK BGG The closest thing I can think of that you can play today would be Downhill Domination on the PS2. Think SSX but with mountain bikes. You can also look at Road Redemption, which is a spiritual successor to Road Rash. Similar concept, just replace bikes with motorcycles. While I haven’t played it myself, Descent is a BMX type game, but I dunno if it’s got fighting in it like this.
My sister and I did too. Loved it so much. On the jungle stage, we could've sworn we saw a rainbow colored slug in the trees that dragged one of us into the thick of it when we crashed, and the guy never got up again. We looked so long for it again but couldn't find it.
I found this game hilarious when i first played it, i also had the PS1 version of Road Rash, both really funny games IMO.. I want to see a remake or a sequel to this game, not the other versions that were on PS1 i mean this game, for some reason i didn't like the other ones as much after this.
wow!!!!!! omg used to LOVE playing this!!!!! finally I can rest knowing what it's called.... couldn't find its name anywhere, thanks for uploading, loved the skates on this and them damn gates is all I could remember awesome memories even in 2016!!!
When I first got a PlayStation for Christmas, I got this game either right at the same time or not long after. My friends and I played this religiously. It was so much fun. Maybe not groundbreaking in comparison to today’s titles but at the time it was amazing. Thanks for posting, lots of nostalgia here! I may have to dig up my PlayStation and some old games, this one included!
I played this game so much with my cousins, we used to fight with each other and get mad for losing to one another. Our moms would make us turn it off. We then would gather up with the neighborhood kids with all our bikes, skates, skateboards and race down the street kicking and pushing each other down! Man those were great times. As I get older I cherish these memories a lot more.
Everyone knows that there is going to be a final attack, that much we can all agree on. But, what will happen AFTER the final attack? Daniel tells us: “During that time Michael [Jesus Christ] will stand up [at Armageddon], the great prince who is standing [since 1914] in behalf of your people. And there will occur a time of distress [the great tribulation] such as has not occurred since there came to be a nation until that time. And during that time your people will escape, everyone who is found written down in the book.” (Daniel 12:1) We read a similar description of what Jesus will do at Revelation 19:11-21. Coincidence? I think not! But who is “Gog and Magog” mentioned at Revelation 20:8? This name refers to all those who rebel against Jehovah and attack his people during the final test at the end of the 1,000 years. They will have the same hateful attitude as Gog of Magog, the nations that attack God’s people at the end of the great tribulation. And just like those nations that will be destroyed at Armageddon, Gog and Magog will also be destroyed. (Revelation 19:20, 21; 20:9) It seems appropriate, then, that all who rebel at the end of the 1,000 years be called “Gog and Magog.”
I'm watching this now with my brother and wow does it bring back our childhood playing this on our dads old PS1. The moment we heard all the sound effects, instant smile on our face just like when we were 6 years old having fun playng this game so cool
Aw man, my brother and I used to play the hell out of this game! I totally forgot what it was called and had vague memories of it, thanks so much for posting it! I'll have to find my old ps1 and set it up so I can show my younger sister my childhood
yooo so nostalgic man !! i remember playing this game with my mom..its so fun and i love the jungle map.. all the map is so nostalgic..i want to play this game again
I remember going round to a friends house who had a playstation one and a demo of this game . I was totally sold! I just remember it being a sports game, to be honest. Now I'm watching this I can see that it's so much more! Underrated!
Gang gang. I played the heck out this demo (beta) as well broski. Very fond times in deed.. but when we put in that "NFL Gameday".. and subsequently, that "NBA In The Zone". Me and my brother lost it. It was like looking into the future, and seeing how good video games were going to be.
I'll always remember fondly playing this game on that one orange 'demo1' disc I had as a kid. You only had the one stage and played as the roller blader with a white jumper and green shorts, kicking and punching the other racers was so epic as was running over those rabbits on the road.
When my sister and I were kids used to make fun of the luge boarders and called them luge babies. We tried our hardest to kick them and knock them off the track.
The game had a unique glitch that where you would jump and keep gaining altitude until the road below and buildings to the side became very very tiny (like a small bridge) floating over a static image of the sky.
I used to play the demo of this. Remember the Playstation Magazine that would come with the disc? lol THen once Tony Hawk demo came out, it pretty much melted into my system.
My brother and I told our dad we wanted to share our Christmas present…so we got a PlayStation, Twisted Metal 2, and this game. SO much damn fun. My brother was 16 and I was 10. Talk about good times!!!
This game was so fun man i use t lo love being able to kick and hit each other 😂 i had this and the 2nd one when i was 6yr old and played it for years that was 20yrs ago man time flies
I loved this game and would play it continuously when i was around 7 years old in the summer of 2002. It didn't have much, but what it did have was extremely fun. Goes to show that we were more appreciative of what we had back then.
I never knew what this game was called but I remember it so vividly. I tired explaining it to people and they just looked at me like I was stupid. I played this in like 2003ish and I’ve never forgotten it!
I love how the skateboarder takes the time to put his helmet on after wiping out. it's like, 'yeah, I just faceplanted into that goal post at like 40 mph, I'm ok. oh wait, let me make sure I've got my safety equipment on before going on'.
Lol I remember playing this game all the time as a little kid. I was never all about the racing though, so I spent the races doing things like knocking over all the chairs in the Italy course or getting all those rolling barrels to the finish line in the San Francisco course. ... I was a weird kid.
This game was so much fun yet strangely it got rinsed in most publications that I remember. Amazingly, that Utah soundtrack still lives rent free in my head to this day!
Man, great video (and channel). So many people just don't know how to produce a clean video or bother to remove loading screens. I do have that demo you wrote about and ended up with Wipeout and Jumping Flash. Why oh why didn't I get this game...
Memories! I found the best player to be Patricia (yellow shirt) using roller blades. Unlike the other selections, roller blades are attached to your feet so it takes less time to recover after a fall. They also make getting air and far away gates much easier.
You freakin kids today could never understand how mind blowing this looked in 1995. So git off mah lawn!
ahhh memories....
Actually, it looked more or less mediocre back then. There were games that looked better already released, like wipeout. It still looks good, but it is far from mind blowing.

Druffmaul it was everything
So addicted to this Game ! 😀
This was my first Game on PS1with Twisted Metal worldtour. Both are perfection Games and changed my Life 👍 🎉
I know all maps today 😁
OMG THIS GAME. THE NOSTALGIA.
This is the game that needs to be remastered.
Sure
They should make a new one definitely, i remember playing the demo and liking it so much that i got the full game. It did lack courses and could have been a bit longer & harder on the season/story mode though.

"Remake".
@@Ckoz2829 Road Redemption was trash compared to Road Rage, and shouldn't have any connection with each other.
Watching this made me smile and think about how much fun my friends and I had when we were young. Don’t grow up kids, life is tough.
Only if you make it tough
Holy fuckin shit I can't believe I found this lol So many memories
lol same😂
The sound effects in the menus for this game were the best. Especially the catalogue. It was the first great ASMR game.
"ugh,ugh ugh,ugh ugh,ugh, ugh ugh"
The Harbour Master I strive to sound exactly like this when I jizz
Yooooooooooo🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I played the demo of this game over and over again. I want to go back to the 90s and relive my childhood! :'(
Thomas Williams yes
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯!
That’s all we had man that’s all we had
I'm with ya, dude.
Me too 💯
Nostalgia overload. Thanks for uploading this. I spent hours replaying the demo on the Picks CD.
lol I like how espn endorsed a game in which you assault people while competing in sports.
Totally Xtreme!
Because back then companies weren't pussies that bended to the will of PC culture.
I remember playing a demo of this at target when the playstation first came out.
Thanks for the memories!! My husband and I played this all of the time back in the day.
This was the best game me and my sister used to play. Lol. So many good memories.
Wow this brings back memories. This was the first game I owned for PS1 and that was way back in 1995! Good times!
Real tears right now , me and my friends spent nights at each other house just to play this!! These youngsters don’t have a clue about this gem 💎
God bless!🙏
me and my brother played the crap out of this game when we were growing up...great game.
lol remmeber when the computer was so good that u only cared about beating your brother ??? lol
My sister and I did too. Loved it so much. On the jungle stage, we could've sworn we saw a rainbow colored slug in the trees that dragged one of us into the thick of it when we crashed, and the guy never got up again. We looked so long for it again but couldn't find it.
Same
Word me and my brother did too 😂
This game was the shit. Reminds me of Road Rash
I found this game hilarious when i first played it, i also had the PS1 version of Road Rash, both really funny games IMO.. I want to see a remake or a sequel to this game, not the other versions that were on PS1 i mean this game, for some reason i didn't like the other ones as much after this.
Spiggle same 2x was overkill tbh
Same company. EA made Road Rash 1-3 on Genesis (and maybe a few other systems?) and then jumped to PlayStation.
Loved this game. Played it endlessly with my brother. I was a master at getting all the gates to buy new gear.
This is the best game of all time on ps1 for me and im glad i found this video i played this so much in high school such a great game
This game was in the demo disc of the first PlayStation. I used to play it a lot because it was fast and the beating was fun! :P
YES! i knew there was a demo version of this game, i had it too.
Same dude!!
Same. I remember you could only use the skates or something lol. I played that demo for hours
Me too! Happy memories 😊
wow!!!!!! omg used to LOVE playing this!!!!! finally I can rest knowing what it's called.... couldn't find its name anywhere, thanks for uploading, loved the skates on this and them damn gates is all I could remember
awesome memories even in 2016!!!
ebeneezagood hahaha same here. I didn’t remember the name of the game and i tried “lake tahoe ps1” and found it quickly.
When I first got a PlayStation for Christmas, I got this game either right at the same time or not long after. My friends and I played this religiously. It was so much fun. This game went soooo hard bro. The tracks the vehicles you used. Man sick
Trop bon! les bûches, le bruit des mecs qui se mettent des pêches et la sensation de vitesse pour l'époque, c'était génial ^^
OMG I loved this game as a kid, they should totally do a remake with multiplayer!!! jJust imagine it!
OMG I WISHHH

Post your fan fiction elsewhere
Ah dude, I could not remember what this game was called and I'd been missing it for years. Good video of it, brings the memories flooding back to me.
One of my all time favorites. Mehr and my Crew played it for hours and days
This game is hilarious😂 omg I used to play this sooo much in the 90s
I'm watching this now with my brother and wow does it bring back our childhood playing this on our dads old PS1. The moment we heard all the sound effects, instant smile on our face just like when we were 6 years old having fun playng this game so cool

I remember street louging so hard. Was 7 years old
NOSTALGIA!!! Holy crap, the menu sound, the garage sound, the switching of tvs
I remember going round to a friends house who had a playstation one and a demo of this game . I was totally sold! I just remember it being a sports game, to be honest. Now I'm watching this I can see that it's so much more! Underrated!
The best PlayStation 1 skating game ever
Gang gang. I played the heck out this demo (beta) as well broski. Very fond times in deed.. but when we put in that "NFL Gameday".. and subsequently, that "NBA In The Zone". Me and my brother lost it. It was like looking into the future, and seeing how good video games were going to be.

Classic game, one of my favourites from that era :)
Miss those days😭
My LORD, The hours I put into this game, as a kid.
Rollerblader was always the way to go, dem supe up dem skates!
This was ahead of its time 😫😫😫😫😫 I wish they make this now
Me and my bro played this for hours in heavy competition and we stayed sabotaging each other!😂😂😂😂😂😂
I was completely addicted to this game as a kid. I just couldnt get enough.
I'll always remember fondly playing this game on that one orange 'demo1' disc I had as a kid. You only had the one stage and played as the roller blader with a white jumper and green shorts, kicking and punching the other racers was so epic as was running over those rabbits on the road.

This was one of the best. Haven't been able to find the name till today.
Loved this game so much. Always felt like the roller blades went faster. Good times.
Was so much fun and good gamplay this game, wow.
I think it's still fun this game =)
Lo jugué por primera vez en 1996 y nunca me olvidé de él. Hoy me compré una PS ONE sólo para descargarlo.
The game had a unique glitch that where you would jump and keep gaining altitude until the road below and buildings to the side became very very tiny (like a small bridge) floating over a static image of the sky.
I use to play this when I was like 8 years old
one of my favorite games of all time!!! and the music!! great
Wow, this looks different than I remember.
I played nothing but this, Spyro & Star Wars demolition
I used to play the demo of this. Remember the Playstation Magazine that would come with the disc? lol
THen once Tony Hawk demo came out, it pretty much melted into my system.
My brother and I told our dad we wanted to share our Christmas present…so we got a PlayStation, Twisted Metal 2, and this game. SO much damn fun. My brother was 16 and I was 10. Talk about good times!!!

I used to play this with my older brother in split screen (multiplayer) as kids and i want those times back!
I played this a lot when I was a kid and didn’t realize it was ESPN X Games lol
I never knew what this game was called but I remember it so vividly. I tired explaining it to people and they just looked at me like I was stupid. I played this in like 2003ish and I’ve never forgotten it!
It makes my index fingers twitch watching you play this 😆
And I kept looking for "Tony Hawk Pro Skater" thinking this game was that. All of their cover posters looked so similar. Glad I found this, finally!
This game was the best i never played anything else except this this growing up. defo needs a 're make for next gen 🤞🏽🤞🏽
18:56 cracked me up
I'm 37n years old, this was the first Playstation game I ever played.
I love how the skateboarder takes the time to put his helmet on after wiping out. it's like, 'yeah, I just faceplanted into that goal post at like 40 mph, I'm ok. oh wait, let me make sure I've got my safety equipment on before going on'.

Me and my brother used to play this game way back then it’s crazy how crap the graphics were
And yet still very fun !!!!!!
I remember me and my sister playing this when we were 7-9 years old.
We are now 22-24 years old and still play it.
hands down best game haha!
That's some hardcore racing right there. I bet we'd all pay to watch that!
I LOVED this game!
Love this game and I still have an original copy :)
Lmao! Owned by signs, barrels, and... well, damn... even the wind kicked this guys ass
Memories! I found the best player to be Patricia (yellow shirt) using roller blades. Unlike the other selections, roller blades are attached to your feet so it takes less time to recover after a fall. They also make getting air and far away gates much easier.
OMG 7:07 when you kicked those 2 guys was hilarious, dont you just laugh everytime?
good times XD
This brings back my childhood
