Thank you. It's something I've decided to do from now on with racing games in order to show people how much more engaging a steering wheel is vs. a standard controller.
OldsXCool It works well, especially with the in car view. It also showed that the game is quite responsive to the wheel and that isn't always the case with racing games. :)
OutRun 2006: Coast 2 Coast was chiefly based on OutRun 2 SP: Special Tours (which itself received a Japan-only PS2 port), Sega AM2's updated release to the original OutRun 2. It's the only definitive home version in the wake of OutRun Online Arcade de-listed from the XBLA and PSN long ago. As for the game itself? Sweet arcade bliss from Sega and SUMO Digital, who later worked on Sega & Sega All-Stars Racing and its sequel Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.
Makes perfect sense as I love Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. It's definitely in my top 5 racing games of all time which is unusual because I normally don't care much for the kart racing genre, but All-Stars Racing Transformed is a racing game at it's core with some added combat elements. It also has Outrun 2's speed.
Just bought it and hooked it up to my lg HD TV.. with component cables it looks amazing in widescreen and progressive scan.. Although I usually use a CRT.. this games really shines on a LCD in my opinion. Seeing you use a steering wheel got me inspired to get one too!! Any other steering wheels that work, Or just the mad cats ? Keep it up🙌🏻
Force feedback on Logitech wheels that are compatible with PS2 (GT, g25, g27) I have a GT and g27 and the version that works with Force feedback is the Japanese release, or the PSN Xbox live port. The PS2 version in Europe and other regions outrun 2 (No Force feedback) there are a lot force feedback compatible games on PS2, I own loads. SEGA Rally 95 NTSC J has force feedback.. there is Wikipedia list but it's not 💯 complete, I say 90-95% complete as I have tested games that work but not on list.
I been looking for a cheap racing wheel and I found the mc2 to be ~$20 on eBay. Does this racing wheel work with the new need for speed or recent racing games on PC?
It will work if you have the mayflash ps1/ps2 adapter, its dirt cheap like 3-4 bucks. but that adapter might not work on your pc some people have problems with it but I dont. I was thinking about getting the madcatz universal one with the GameCube and og xbox hook up. Would be cool to be able to play with this thing on Sega gt online
It's the Mad Catz MC2 Universal Racing Wheel designed for the PS2, XBOX, and Gamecube. If you're trying to use a steering wheel that was designed only for the original Playstation then that is why it's not working.
I need to get me a wheel like that. Seems to work great!
HEY Mark! Great to see you!
OldsXCool Thanks. Say that video worked out well. Showing your hands on the shifter and the steering wheel!

Does this Universal MC2 Wheel (pedals) works well with Gran Turismo 4? Because you don't recommend the yellow one of this wheel in another video.

Shame I can't get my Logitech Driving Force Pro (PS2) to work with it. Any ideas?
This game does not support USB steering wheels with the exception of the Driving Force EX which also has a regular Playstation plug output.

No. This wheel is only for the PS2. There are other MC2 wheels out there but I don't think any of them are compatible with the PC.
DrocDoc buy proper wheel, at least g27

this game have force feedback?
No unfortunately
@@OldsXCool It's a shame, I just got my first driving force gt wheel and wanted to play this game, the online version of ps3 is incomplete
@@OldsXCool Thanks for answering, if it works with other games but with this one it does not work
Hey, did you have to do anything special to get the MC2 to work with Outrun2006?
Smash Bang No.
ok thanks. mine wont recognize it as a controller. I have the playstation wheel, was yours specific to Playstation or was it the universal?
It's the Mad Catz MC2 Universal Racing Wheel designed for the PS2, XBOX, and Gamecube. If you're trying to use a steering wheel that was designed only for the original Playstation then that is why it's not working.
OldsXCool Ahhhh, documentation on compatibility vs model makes a big difference! Thanks for appending information!
Stupid question but I have a PS2 and just got the MC2 and it refuses to recognize it as a controller, any idea what I am doing wrong?
ntscj outrun 2 sp on ps2 DOES support ff
