1:15 also I completely forgot boomwhackers existed, the last time I even touched one was for some 4th grade Halloween concert practice thing in music class I didn’t end up getting the part I believe
My students are obsessed with Bruno and Surface Pressure! I don't think I'll be able to get away with only doing it for one week hahah!! In all seriousness, thank you for effort and generosity in creating and sharing these! I was curious about creating these myself til I read how you did it. I do not have those programs. THANK YOU!!!
My daughter's music teacher wanted me to tell you that her students love to play boomwhakers but only with your videos so you are appreciated a lot all of berryhill's students love you keep up the great work !!!!!!!!!!!!
i love this my class loves this my music teacher puts this every time we use boomwackers but people always act up in my class sometimes we dont get to watch the whole vid cause ppl keep actin up lol
@@sandycrocker5790 This first one took me about 4 hours because I had no idea what I was doing. But now I have templates and saved files. Beginning to end of a new video is about an hour.
@@SwicksClassroom I would love a tutorial on how to make these! I have only made melodic play alongs with a conductor image using PowerPoint, but I love the drop down style with the harmonic approach! My students are obsessed with all of your videos, and have been spinning a wheel of names for a chance to choose a song from your boomwhacker playlist. We are currently playing them with orff instruments! Thank you for everything you do!
@@SwicksClassroom I would pay good money and, like, bring you in for Professional Development for templates as well. I don't think y'all realize how much of a game changer this content is for the music classroom.
@@SwicksClassroom ugh no just basic sets. I think I could play the sound through a pitch changing app though. Sorry, didn't realise that would be an issue for transposition.
This is fabulous - along with your other videos as well. My 7th graders will be singing/performing this for their spring concert (yes, we purchased the music!). I'm wondering if there is there a score for the boomwhacker part? I have a small group playing the boomwhacker accompaniment while the rest sings the song and I would like them to read the notation rather than track the notes on a screen (which will also be difficult while following the live piano accompaniment).
I've used this K-5, with varying success of course but I didn't start with this video. I started all of the students on the one note at a time videos. I also have a two notes at a time video. Once students could comprehend when it was the perfect time to strike, I introduced the fun songs. But to answer your question better, I think second grade should be able to play this on the first try with a high success rate.
I used Adobe Animate to make the onscreen boomwhackers. Cubase to create midi boomwhacker parts that match up to the audio. Synthesia creates the falling squares using the midi file. OBS Studio to screen record Synthesia. And Filmora to turn the falling squares to the matching boomwhacker color. I got inspiration from watching a "How to make piano tutorials" video.
This is such a great way to show when to play! Brilliant! My kids are LOVING this!

Synthesia is advertising that they are working on big updates. I'm hoping whatever it is, it will make the process easier!
THANK YOU!!! Our students love this
Thanks!! My students LOVE this song!
Same! This was definitely a request of the Encanto mob! Lol
Playing this today! All students were happy except those who got Yellow or Dark Purple - they didn't have ANY notes! So I took those out.
Amazing my whole class loved it!🌷
Thank you!

Thank you so much for sharing your videos. I teach K-8 music and they are good for almost every level. My students love them!
If you know of any songs that 6-8 are interested in these days, I'd love to hear!
Thank you! my classes loved this!
Wow so cool! Can't wait to do this one with my class. Thank you 😊
Swick’s Classroom, will you please add letter names to this one too?

Thank you so much in school i played with boomysp
And here they said the LABO piano was minimalist
guys do you no mr.freeborn he is in princ edword
I'm preferring this visual way of playing BoommWhackers, than the bouncing icon. Even the binders are successful.
I would gladly pay for a template for this so I could make my own play along videos!
I'm in the process of making a tutorial video! I use Cubase, Synthesia, OBS and Filmora to create these videos.

Uh Boom whackers are at stone haven school
And this one
My friends at school sing "we don't talk about brunooooo"
How did you do this
Could you please make a Macarena boomwhacker video? I watched the how to but I simply don't have the time or skills.

You should play on speed 1.25 it sounds better
Your videos need melodies for the boom whackers. Just chords on the beat is boring.
There are other channels that do melodies.
