They look great. On my installation, a small, silver rectangular part covering what appears to be some small dials and spring came apart leaving me wondering what these parts were. This is my second attempt with this part since passenger door look seized after a year or so.
So there's no ignition cylinder included with this kit, so that means that you have to carry 2 separate keys? I know some vehicles had 2 keys, but the doors and ignition were typically the same with the trunk/hatch and glove box being different.
No, an ignition cylinder is not included in this kit. Those can be purchased separately and include a new key. I linked them below. All Fox Mustangs utilized one key for the ignition cylinder and another key for the doors, trunk, and glove box. SSP Mustangs were the only cars that used the same key for the ignition, doors, and trunk. -Landan Black Ignition Cylinder: lmr.com/item/LRS-11582A/79-93-Mustang-Ignition-Cylinder-With-Key-Black Chrome Ignition Cylinder: lmr.com/item/LRS-11582AR/79-93-Mustang-Ignition-Cylinder-With-Key-Chrome-Reproduction
I saw your username and i figured thats why you thought Mustangs were like that, i have a T bird too and the key to the ignition is the same for the door, unfortunately not the same for the Mustang which i have one too, heck, on my Mustang i have 3 keys, lol,i bought a different trunk lid and i never changed the lock so i have a third key for the trunk ha ha ha. Mustang Cop cars came with one key which was nice,i know someone selling a set of those types of locks that came in cop cars, guy wants 500 dollars for the set, my nephew is a locksmith, i told him if he ever came up with a one key Mustang set up for the 87 to 93 cars he would make some serious coin, i dont think he took me seriously.
Great upgrade, LMR FTW!

So what if it is a 79-83? Cannot figure out how to get the cylinder out of the glove box
Either it’s not the right kit or there’s no alternative
