Oh have to do this.... I tend to lean toward jewel tones. I've been making cards for years. Never used foil. I'm so excited. That is such a cute project. It seems very user friendly. Thank you......
This was incredibly helpful as I did buy this kit the other day and tried it out, and was not pleased to find out that I really didn't know where the design would actually start on the mat. Now after watching you, I get it. Thank you for your solid direction. So helpful.
I LOVE the new foil tool. Right now I just have a Joy but am planning to buy a Maker real soon. I can hardly wait. I tend to naturally go towards color. My sister and I tease each other because she is like you and goes towards neutral colors. I tell her "color is your friend" and she rolls her eyes at me, LOL!
My Cricut Foil Transfer kit just arrived (haven’t had the opportunity to test it out yet - excited). Really love your project❣️ I generally gravitate to neutral colors. Then I can add a splash of color with a picture, pillow or other accessories.
This is so pretty!! Maybe Cricut will come out with one for the Joy!! As for the question, I guess it depends on the project that I'm working on. I love color, but can do the neutrals too. Looking around my craft room, I'm now thinking I gravitate more towards color!! LOL
i am waiting for my Foil Transfer kit and I am really excited to make something! I was waiting for you to do something in the foil LOL!! It turned out great and thank you for showing us how to do it! I had watched other videos about it and they did not go into details with design space. Be blessed!
I love your foil design and the tutorial. I just ordered my foil kit so this will help me get started when it arrives. Question of the day: no matter where I am, my eye will always go to the most colorful object in the room. But, when I am designing artwork and cards, the spectrum of colors I use runs from white on white to the most brilliant colors I can find. It all depends on my mood and the project.
I have a small stash of watercolor postcards and this will be a great project for them. Thanks so much for all of the very helpful instructions! (Also, when Anna Griffin was on HSN on Tuesday, she said you can also use Washi Tape to hold the foil down.)
I did the same thing, I didn’t read the fine print so I ordered the silver and gold in the 12 x 12!! I gravitate toward bolder colors but love black and white as well. Thanks for this video, my kit should be coming soon. I can’t wait.
Oh goodness, I am glad I am not the only one who accidentally ordered additional foil! But it was a happy accident because I think the full sized sheets are going to be super useful!
Ok this video has confirmed that I need the Maker as well as my Joy. Hopefully Santa brings one at Christmas as there is no stock anywhere here at the moment. If Im very good I may receive a foil kit as well. I prefer bolder colours but do like my neutrals as well. Thankyou Bethadilly for another excellent video.
I love this, your water colour idea is gorgeous too...I’m in a quandary, as I use my iPad, my little craft space is up in our loft and our main iMac is downstairs but I’d love to add this kit to my maker 😏 x
This is soooo pretty! I ordered mine, but it’ll take a while for it to get all the way over here. So excited! You know that it all depends on what I’m using the colors for, love the neutral but the other colors are cheerful too. Thanks for this class! Looooveeee
I can't wait to see what else you create with the foil! I want to create some Christmas cards with the foil. I think Anna Griffin has some awesome designs in Design Space Access. For the question of the day, I prefer brighter colors lately. I have cataracts in my eyes, so it is easier for me to see things with lots of contrast. I like aqua, teal, and turquoise with bright pops of red and sunflower yellow! 😁
I didn't place the glass in front because it takes away from the visual shine of the foil. I like it without the glass so I can really see the texture of the watercolor paper and the foil shine, but it is personal preference.
I’m a little nervous to try the foil. I have everything I need to make something, except for maybe patience and nerve. 😬 I’m drawn to bright colors...more specifically to blues and greens, sometimes shades of purple, too.
I tend to go for colorful tones. I LOVE rainbow/multi color designs (except purple. Don't like purples. Really dark purples are ok but light/pastel purples... NO WAY.) I love when the colors are just randomly put on the vinyl/paper. A good one is the watercolor vinyl from Expressions Vinyl. I LOVE that vinyl. I also like neutral colors for some things. I LOVE wood and wood grains. Especially the reddish browns. So pretty. I love the smell of wood, too. Reminds me of my dad. He loved working with wood. He always smelled like fresh cut wood. I miss my dad. He and my mon died in 2002. My mom march 17. My dad april 14. By may I was homeless. My brother moved in the house my parents & I lived and kicked me out. I was homeless for about a year. Sorry. Too much info?? I noticed you distressed the frame. I never pictured you as the distressing kind of person. You always seem like the real classy, clean type person. You know like everything clean and looking new. Nothing with scratches or worn areas on them. Basically no farmhouse style. WOW! Learn something new every day. Great video, as usual. I was thinking about getting one of these foil transfer pens. You make it (and everything, really) seem soooo easy. Thanks for another great video. 👍🏻👍🏻

I’m so glad this was helpful for you, Bridgett!

Ha ha! My friends lovingly tease me as well because they say I am afraid of bright color...which is a little true! Love my pastels and neutrals!

So excited to hear what you think of the foil kit! I think you'll really enjoy it!

Fingers crossed for the Joy!
LOVE IT. Ordered from HSN during the monthly craft show - waiting for it to come.
Yay!! That’s so exciting!
I definitely gravitate towards neutral colors
I love that! When I get a little more experienced with my Cricut machines, I’ll probably get this. As for the question, the more color, the better.
Yes, definitely put this on your wish list! You will love it!
Neutral tones so beautiful
Beautiful!
I love cool colors!!
Thank you so much!
I just received mine today and can not wait to use it. I am looking forward to November 1st this will be my first time doing holiday items.
Roslyn J Armour how exciting! Have fun with your foil! And yes, November 1st is going to be so fun!

I'm so excited for you and glad this video helped with the Design Space portion of using foil!
Love this
Love color.
I love the new foil and tips. I made a wedding day card with foil for the couples names and a pen for the sentiment.
That sounds so beautiful!!
I like pastels!
Ditto! Me too, for sure!
My kit came in last week! So excited! I tend to lean towards neutral tones. :)
Yay! Congratulations on your kit arriving!
@@Bethadilly Thank you! 😊
Very helpful! Thanks so much. Too bad everyone is out of stock of the foil tool right now!
I just checked the links in my description box below the video and it looks like Michael's has some in stock, as of right now! :)
Love your videos, thank you 😊
Thank you, Sharon! I am so glad!
I love your foil design and the tutorial. I just ordered my foil kit so this will help me get started when it arrives.

So glad you ordered a foil kit! You'll have so much fun!
Awesome! The best tutorial I have watched for the new foil! Today’s question .... I would have to say neutral pallet for me!
Thank you so much Darlene, I appreciate that!
Neutral tones ! Beautiful. Thanks for sharing. I just placed an order.
Love this - I can’t wait to get one - I love putting foil on flowers to outline the petals
Foil on flower petals sounds incredible!
Bethadilly - I watched someone take flowers in Cricut and they foiled the black lines - I think she did print, then went back and did foil, then cut
I just ordered my foil kit, I am so excited! I def prefer neutrals, mostly grays. But I do like a pop of yellow or green!
Yay for foil kits! I hope you love yours like I am loving mine!
I have a small stash of watercolor postcards and this will be a great project for them. Thanks so much for all of the very helpful instructions! (Also, when Anna Griffin was on HSN on Tuesday, she said you can also use Washi Tape to hold the foil down.)
That's good to know about washi tape, thank you! I was wondering what to do if I ran out of the provided tape!
I did the same thing, I didn’t read the fine print so I ordered the silver and gold in the 12 x 12!! I gravitate toward bolder colors but love black and white as well. Thanks for this video, my kit should be coming soon. I can’t wait.

I love your videos so much!! You're whole layout and demeanor is so soft and pretty. Beautiful project, can't wait to get my foil!!
Thank you so much! I’m so happy to hear that!
Thank you ❤️‼️
You're welcome!
Neutral colors for me. This is amazing I did not know anything about it will have to order 😂
So cute. Just got my foil kit as well. I like neutral tones with a splash of color.
So glad you got a kit too! It's been a fun new addition to my craft table!

So glad you enjoyed this, Allison! Hope Santa is good to you this year with a Maker! ;)
I love it! I will order this for sure. ❤️
I usually gravitate towards neutral colours, but during summer time I will go more for brighter colours. 🤗🌸
So excited you're going to order one! I think it will be a fun kit to use for the holidays!

I forgot question of the day...I love colour, my home is very colourful 🌈 x
@@handmadebyjacqui I am do glad you loved this! I am so happy with how it turned out!

Thank you! Yes, there are so many stunning designs that would make wonderful foil projects! It makes me look at designs in a whole new way right now!
so cute! Easy peasy! I am enjoying using it but I am having some placement issues. I have to keep at it I guess!
Placement can be tricky! I find making templates in Design Space really helps me out with mat placement!
LOVE how it turned out!!!! Pastels are my fav!!😍 curious as to why you didn’t put the glass in front of your design? Any specific reason? Thanks!!
I didn't place the glass in front because it takes away from the visual shine of the foil. I like it without the glass so I can really see the texture of the watercolor paper and the foil shine, but it is personal preference.
Beth....this was a beautiful project - thank you for sharing....!! I sent a fellow newbie to subscribe to your channel as well.
Awe, thanks so much! I really appreciate the referral!!
I’m a little nervous to try the foil. I have everything I need to make something, except for maybe patience and nerve. 😬 I’m drawn to bright colors...more specifically to blues and greens, sometimes shades of purple, too.
You can totally do this! If I can do it, so can you! Just take it slow and you will do great!
I gravitate towards colorful tones
I am definitely trying to do that, maybe for accent pieces!

Thanks for another great video. 👍🏻👍🏻
I purchased this frame so it was already distressed, but I love distressing all my projects with a sander after I paint them! Thank you for watching!
I wish Cricut would’ve made that compatible with Cricut Joy as well 😫
I know! The Joy has it's own sizes and materials so maybe someday! Fingers crossed!
For me it depends on what it is!!
That is so true! I suppose I can be that way as well!
