Per my other comments in two of your other Cricut card mat / card sets video, this is another great one! Love learning all but especially to watch those corner cuts not being misaligned & how to find things in CDS. I was so lost in there yesterday & couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t find just corner cuts or narrow down for insert card projects. Now I know!
i have the explorer air 2 i called cricut support as the cut lines to hold the insert in was having issues they were going over the edge and with some the cut corner lines were smaller then the insert paper....cricut had me switch to the beta version setting for now it has helped
Thanks for being HUMAN, Angie! 😊💓 I don’t know how many times I’ve STAMPED a sentiment inside a card upside down… 🤦🏻♀️ I just cut the card front away from the back and mount it onto another card base-nobody’s ever called me out for that. If they did, I’d give them a hair flip and snatch that card right back outta’ their hands! 🤣
The only issue I can see is when removing the cards from the card mat that they tend to be difficult to remove and curl slightly. I just make cards without the card mat and then it also gives you the option to make them any size that you want to fit any envelope you have on hand. Thanks for the video Angie.
Angie, I just listened to Crystal with Design Bundles sublimate a tall tumbler and she was showing how to prevent a seam - it didn’t work but she explained at the very end what went wrong - it was today, May 26th - heading is Sublimation with a tumbler press full wrap
What I don't get is the insert that came with the package doesn't fit in the little parts that were cut out to put them into. I keep having to cut them down. I picked the size it said it was in the little drop down. And yeah it was very hard to get off the card mat. All with the foil went well, thanks for showing this, you show all very well.
I showed making the foil lines different colors in Design Space. Then when Design Space prompts you, just remove the gold foil and add the silver. It will walk you through it.
@@AngieHolden What I meant was, when you cut the gold foil on the card mat, the gold did not transfer over. The silver did on the other card, just not seeing any gold foil that transferred.
Just make them two foil colors on your mat. The machine will tell you to switch foils. Just remove one and add them other. Then remove that one and cut.
I really enjoy your videos...hoping you can help with a question about the latest Design Space updates for iPad.....where did all my saved projects go??? I can access them on desktop but not on my iPad. 😭
Great video! I'm waiting on my 2x2 mat and I just purchased a few different card kits that were on sale. I purchased a different brand of foil transfer sheets to try out, but they did not come with tape. What type of tape would you suggest using on the Recollections brand foil that I purchased?
These are all different sizes specific to the card so they are different from those you purchase separately. Now, you can use those you purchase separately and just trim them with scissors.

Thank you for the video. I don’t know if it’s me or what but every time I remove the foil from the card it always tears part of my cards off. Not sure why. I do take it off slowly and it still does it every single time. I love the foil look but it I have a layer of the cardstock pulled off I don’t want to keep wasting cards. Does this happen to anyone else or is it just me? Also I found that if I save the inner part of the letter I just stick it down with some glue and it looks great. It still is cut out around the inner part but then I just stick the centers back in and it looks great!
@@AngieHolden I'm using the Cricut brand cards with inserts and with foil plus I bought a bunch of extra foil colors. Plus my card mat is so sticky I have to be super careful when I'm removing them. I have only been using my Cricut for actually a year exactly today because they sent me an email. I didnt realize it had been that long. But maybe I got a bad batch or something I'm not sure. I will just keep trying until I can figure it out.
So are you saying that I will need to connect to my computer in order for this to work? I’ve tried on my iPad and phone and wasted a lot of foil because it didn’t transfer. Will it work from an laptop or does it have to be an desktop? Thank you!!!!!
With the cards which don't give you an option to personalise them I saw a great tip from another Cricut user : click on make it then when it appears on the matclick on the hamburger menu then Canvas and your image will appear on the canvas. From here you can use contour and add and subtract objects as you wish, change to pen, foil etc. then save your project and make it as you please
I don't like how the inserts stick out in the corners so just glue them down like if they were a cutaway. I actually stopped using the foil tool on the Maker a long time ago, and have tried the Joy one but with both, the foil doesn't seem to cover and leaves gaps resulting in a lot of wasted materials. And with most of the premade cards just about every one wants the fine tip which barely shows and there's no option to change it. And since they require a fine tip you can't use the Joy so you have to go out and buy the 2x2 mats. :/ The cutaway cards are AWESOME and need to come in a bigger variety of colors I do have some issues where the same cutaway setting tries to pick up the entire insert once in a while and old holographic inserts don't seem to work well (at least for me, the entire thing comes up when weeding) but it's not a deal breaker. I loooove your videos. :) Ty for explaining things so well.
I was lost at first when you were creating the designs. It all made sense once the Cricut did it's thing... Thanks!

Looks great. I take the centers of the letters off the mat and glue them on the card.
Yep you can do that!

I haven't had issues if I pick the right card size.
I would really have liked to see how you did the heart card with gold and silver. Not sure you did that. Love your videos.
I showed making the foil lines different colors in Design Space. Then when Design Space prompts you, just remove the gold foil and add the silver. It will walk you through it.
You could still take some glue and glue the center parts of the letters back onto the card. You don't have to throw those away!
Yep you can!
Yep you can!
great job...
Hi, Angie. Can you write on the inside of the insert card's ❤
Sure! Try this: ruclips.net/video/Hu5zjAZ1oZ4/видео.html
Great vid! Can this be done without that specific mat?
You can but you would need to make a card. I have something on that here: ruclips.net/video/DldVZ8xxeFU/видео.html
What happened to the gold foil on the “upside down card? Totally new to this. 😊
Sorry I am not understanding the question?

What I applied did transfer.
Thank u for the video how did u do the 2 colors of foil

It has not been working for me either. You usually click the dots next to "all categories" on the front screen.
@@AngieHolden Thank you for answering! I thought I had done something to it. Keep your awesome videos coming!

You can use washi tape. However, you need to make sure that foil is for use with pressure. Some foils are used with heat.
Thanks, it said to use adhesive tape to hold it down, but I didn't know that type!@@AngieHolden
Angie have a question for you. Can you cut, foil and deboss using the maker on a card?
You should be able to!
Can you glue the inside of the a and g? Like are they left on the mat somewhere?
Sure!
Have you ever had trouble with your maker lid not opening all the way? I am intouch with cricut know just wondering if there is a tip go fix it?
I have not!
Are the original foil transfer sheets the same size as these new kits or are they bigger?
These are all different sizes specific to the card so they are different from those you purchase separately. Now, you can use those you purchase separately and just trim them with scissors.
Where can I find the sheet with design sizes for cutaway cards?

How do you lift the card off the mat without tearing through more intricate designs like a mandala design?
I just go really slowly and work a spatula under it.
Yay 🎉!!!!
What brand and weight of cardstock do you suggest for a Cricut Maker?
You can literally use any that you like. I just don't recommend cheaper cardstocks or construction paper as those tear easily.
@@AngieHolden I picked up Reflections 65lb/176g pack, is that brand good in your opinion?!
what is the pressure for doing this? I left it as default and it cut my card mat
I usually use default. You can try less. However, a little bit of cutting into the mat happens.
Angie where/how can you put a sentiment inside? The texture on the cards makes it hard to handwrite a message
Try this: ruclips.net/video/Hu5zjAZ1oZ4/видео.html
Yay 🎊

Search seems to be different for every person and every day. I don't have a solution for you.
Hi Angie , I’m using my Cricut with my iPad , so if I’m understanding you , we cannot use foil with our iPads , I don’t understand why ?
They just have not added the functionality to the app.
So are you saying that I will need to connect to my computer in order for this to work? I’ve tried on my iPad and phone and wasted a lot of foil because it didn’t transfer. Will it work from an laptop or does it have to be an desktop? Thank you!!!!!
I didn't think it would let you pick foil lines on mobile? If not, then yes you would need a computer.
Hi
I have a question. How can i make stitch line instead of score line to fold in a card?. Thank you
The perf blade does this or you can make small cuts.
@@AngieHolden thank you
I haven't use perforation blade yet. I'll try to figure it out how to do the stitches
Out of all the Machine which one is your favorite?
It TOTALLY depends on what I am making or wanting to create.
How do I get the cheat sheets?
Not sure which you are looking for?
