Thank you Jay. seeing these updates of our girl mean the world to me. I just lost my beautiful dog of 14 years and Aristeia makes me feel happy. Please hug and kiss her for me.
Hi Jay..I am so happy for you and your stable that everything is progressing well for the big race..Aristeia is such an affectionate horse..
I hope she does well in her race..and comes out of it healthy..We love to watch your videos, and admire the care that you give to your horses...Best of luck..
Al from Canada.
Hi Jay....dont have the treats..not good. Watch out for nipping lol. Storm Cat loved peppermint...Market get carrots & apples too. Isn't a 12 sec furlong 41mph ?.. I am still not brave enough to take that ride on Market. One day I will...once I know I can control his speed & get him to stop. All of which he hates once he hits top speed. Oh he can buck at that speed too. Thanks for the update. She is in peak form !
Thanks Jay and Cynci. Aristeia looks so well and I will get on to purchasing the 2 extra shares for my friends Christmas gift. Sonia was thrilled with her( birthday gift) share. Such a great way to get involved. Cheers🙏🏻
Safe and sound is a very good thing. Can't wait for the race on Sunday.
I like that pattern for her last breeze, it's a form of interval training. For a trotter working a quick mile I'd do pretty much the same pattern, just easing them along thru the middle 5 furlongs. It teaches them to rate, and I think it's easier on their frame.
Have fun Jay, and good luck!
Thanks Jay! She looks fantastic. I love my horse!
me too
Such a sweet filly!
she really is a sweetheart
Thanks for the update, Jay!
Her sire ( Creative Cause) is drop dead gorgeous and more importantly for a racehorse trainer has had some very successful progeny on the track
Jay C. Nehf, if your timing was correct, +/- 1 or 2 seconds, that was one heck of a 5 F go! 1st quarter in 11 seconds? Finishing at 1:01:01? Can't wait to see how she handles the 6 F race!! STAY SAFE ALL OF YOU!! AND I wish you the Best Christmas and Happy New Year ever!! See you at the Races! Your friend in Ontario, Canada, Jenn.
She is such a lovely mare!
Thanks mlteal
So Excited
Hi Sowie
@@JayCNehfracing hey buddy how are u guys doing Aristeia looks awesome
Can you give use a tour of all your horses in the barn
I did it! I bought the baby! I bought a share of Chalky's Breeding Club that is. I'm so excited! But how do I keep in touch? Do you have a youtube of Chalky too?
Way to go Kim!
Hi Jay, please update the description with the links, because some people watch by casting too their TV, and then can't click on the video link.
Super update! Aristeia looks better all the time, and she looks happy. Was that Evening Sonnet wondering about why she isn’t getting camera time? Thanks for the video.
LOL! Yep, Sonnet gets a bit jealous of the big filly.
Thanks for the update! I usually watch for them every week! So I have a question, you had said earlier that Tyler was wanting to Breeze with her again. Is there a reason why he's not breezing her this weekend? Will he Breeze with her prior to the January race? Thank you so much for your videos I love watching her! She seems so affectionate! Yeah, I know affectionate for those carrots! Haha
Thanks for the great update! Aristeia looking relaxed and happy. Glad to hear she had such a nice breeze and nice times. Wow. Interesting on the cost of the silks. So do you have to buy new ones at each race? I guess unless you have the same jockey. That can certainly get expensive. Boy Jay, you have really set Aristeia up for success. She is getting the best of everything and looking great. Can't wait for the big day! You and Cynci must be very excited also! :)
Big Hoof D runs in an allowance race tomorrow .. los alamitos!!
@@josephrufo4264 Go Hoofie! I hope he is getting lots of love and tlc with his new home.
@@suzanne9622 idk,, but hes in a race where claiming isnt allowed,, its today. Los Alamitos
@@suzanne9622 poor Hoofie was last,, he seemed so tired and sad.. hes lost in that new barn
I was afraid this would happen. Very sad. I wish I had the money to claim him. I really love that horse. He. was a nice young horse that gave his all every time out. I still hope his situation might get better instead of worse.
Seems like some of the regulars aren't posting lately. Miss their valuable insight.
me too
Hi what editing software do you use?
How is evening sonnet
Funny you should ask. She is sound and happy BUT... her final PET scan showed a hot spot that couldn't have been seen any other way. She will require 4 months off to get over it. Her racing future is questionable due to her age; she's about to turn 5.
@@JayCNehfracing really already, hopefully aristea can take her place
@@JayCNehfracing Oh wow. I am so glad you had access to that scanning technique. Monomoy racing at 5. I guess depends on the individual horse and how strong and sound. Glad to hear she will be okay. Hopefully 4 months off will get her scan looking good again. She is such a beautiful girl.
Speaking of updates, BTW, fellow Nehf-Heads, Big Hoof was claimed for 20K by another owner on November first and is with Robert Hess now. He just finished fifth today at Los Al. .
Yes and that was a movve up in class
Thanks for the update sorry he went the claiming route, but I’m sure it’s expensive to keep one in a stall at the track 😢 hope the new trainer is as scrupulous as Mr. Nehf, but if he has 20K invested in him dumping him for killer money if he doesn’t work out doesn’t make a lot of sense , but hope BHD runs well for the new owner😬🙏
Big Hoof Dynamite runs Sunday in an allowance race Los alamitos!! hes the 8horse,, it in the middle of card
thanks Joe
Yeah, IHA has been killing it. He still lacks a legacy type big G1 winner, but possibly that will change with him in the US and garnering tons of support. They also upped his price, so you got in at the right time, and his female family has had big recent success (G1 winner Harvey's Lil Goil).
BTW, speaking of California value sires, did you see that Baffert two year old Va Va Vegas yet? He is out of royal Delta's full brother, Empire Way, who is also in California for only 2.5K. That family is amazing, the mom birthed 3 G1's winners and new stallion standout Khozan. Va Va Vegas is debuting tomorrow, so should be interesting how he will change the market if he is any good as Empire Way has not really received any support, despite being the best bred son of Empire Maker. Have you thought of going to a sale and purchasing some more brood mares just for breeding? My friend recently bought a black type More Than Ready mare i/f to Gemologist for 10K and sold the baby for 130K. Breeding is where the money is at if you get lucky and know what you are doing.
the stars have aligned for us
@@JayCNehfracing Have you thought of claiming him back? He has nearly doubled his purchase price. Not too shabby.

First, hi Mr Jay.
Hi Rob
Just found this great article that breaks down I'll Have Another's pedigree. www.horseracingnation.com/news/Ill_Have_Another_Stud_or_Dud_123
That brings us to I’ll Have Another. A lot will depend on the other horses going to stud next year and their qualifications, but based upon previous and current industry rates, it would be safe to say that I’ll Have Another’s initial stud fee will be in the $30,000 - $40,000 range. (An article from his 3 year old year but great insight into his breeding).
Hi Suzanne. The 2021 fee has been set at $10,000.00 for 2021. I was told by the BVF people that there were less than 50 mares bred to him this year and less than that last year. That means the number of yearlings in our crop will be relatively small and not all of them will go to market. IHA's ranking and the small crop of 2021 foals should put us in a very good position at the sale. I also have great confidence in Chalky's ability to throw a foal with excellent conformation.
@@JayCNehfracing Sounds exciting! The full value of IHA as a stallion prospect, I feel has not yet peaked in the US. Sounds like we are in a very good position here. I had been trying to find his new stud fee, but couldn't. Thanks for the info.
@Jay C. Nehf HEY DEAR, PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY TO BET ON THE ONLY HORSE "ESSENTIAL QUALITY" WHO WILL WIN THE KENTUCKY DERBY 2021.
You're on it early Suraj
