I can see his father, smiling and being very proud of his son !!!!
Why? His son sacked all of the original PCO
I’ve been listening them for years and only today bothered to look them up live. What have I been doing. And how has this so few views. Love it.
This is one of their earliest live recordings of the 2nd generation of PCO.
This music is from a different world love it
I remember seeing them in islington perform in 88/89. Still holds a special place in my heart. Loved them.
Mi adolescencia !!! Tenia que estudiar un examen de lengua y elegí ir a un concierto de la pinguin café orchestra
I have been lucky to meet Arthur and witness the beauty of this group! What a stellar arrangement. Small correction to Arthur's statement on Giles Farnaby's Dream: While he is correct about Simon using inspiration from the virginal Giles Farnaby's Dreame and a Venezuelan folk style, the style is not Yoruba (an ethnic group) but rather joropo, a style created in the llano that spans Colombia and Venezuela.
This is brilliant. Finally got to see them live in Leicester.
A year on and NOW this shows up i my feed. The Almighty Algorithm, in its infinte wisdom has given me the very day an absolute treat. young Mr. Jeffes talking about each piece and then the one where he talks about why Salty Bean Fumble is called that, well, better you hear him say it. I was just gobsmacked.
I will be busy finding a copy of this DVD. Must be some still out there.
Good luck! 👍
Going to see them in Bristol on Sunday!
Thanx for the upload, Darren !
Your appeal is definitely getting more selective when the only audience you draw is one fucking penguin
And I have a sneaking suspicion that that penguin didn't pay for his ticket...
Thanks Darren.
Magic
I wonder if that's THE harmonium.
Cool creative session :)
Is that Neil from Suede on the second track?
Yes, he’s played with the band since its inception.
The new band still haveit right.
Sehr schöne Musik. Man kann den Drummer leider überhaupt nicht hören. Sorry aber ich bin selber seit 50 Jahren einer
