One of my fav basses, although I know I'll probably NEVER own one, the harsh reality of watching these types of Videos. But I'm a firm believer that.. The TRUE BASSIST can make ANY BASS DO WHAT IT'S SUPPOSE TO, TONE, CHARACTER HELPS, but I've NEVER seen a BASS make someone play BETTER. GREAT BASS STILL THO.
Sir I must say you did a excellent job of showing the difference in fret boards I like the more warmer sound of the ebony fret board it seems to sound more like a talking bass. That’s the sound I always loved a bass that sounds like it is saying something 😊

Post Script, the Macassar ebony is the favored one here, but not by much. I usually like natural wood tops but these gradated, transparent, dark to light tops, with pickup covers to match are otherworldly in appearance!
