The whole Don’t Break The Oath album, is a masterpiece, and is very dark Metal, the dueling guitars are out of this world, it is a must to listen to the whole album, start to end.

Would even recommend "Wintersun - Loneliness" to aproach a more sad song with awesome vocal performance.

I also seen Spastic Children at the Omni back in the day , I’ll let y’all research that one for yourselves, ok slight hint , James would walk right in on the street with his girlfriend & the rest of us (Fans)I guess you could call us into the show ! Great song & album! I recommend The Oath, Nightmare or Come to the Sabbath off of Don't Break The Oath. For some piano how about Valentina Lisitsa's live performance of Chopin Etude Op 25 No.11, Canteloupe Island live 1990 by Herbie Hancock/Pat Metheny/Jack DeJohnette/Dave Holland, or Jingles (James P. Johnson, 1930)?
When you get to Cradle of Filth; I'd like to recommend "Cruelty Brought Thee Orchids". The remastered version actually. 🤘 Just to wet your appetite. It's a cover to cover type album, concept album actually about Elizabeth Bathory. Start to finish, all great and that's the song that got me into them back in the late 90's.
Grew up listening to king diamond and fate. Very few vocals can compare. For power and range lately I’ve been on a Daniel Heimen kick.

Apparently, the old managers girlfriend came up with the name Merciful Fate , but I don’t quite know what it means. It could even mean to be at the mercy of your fate or just to have a fate which is merciful.
