Hip-hip-hooray for indoor training when the weather is as horrible as it has been lately. Unfortunately I don't have any myself, aside from an inadequate exercise bike, so I'm out battling the elements. Darned hard to drive myself out the door, but lovely when its over and done with.
This is a layman's opinion, flame away. It appears that RA is extending her foot at the 5 o'clock point (another poster mentioned this). This could be muscle memory from swim/run training. The problem is that this limits cadence. A normal rider would have to increase cadence (and pedal force) to increase power. This is done with lower seat and/or shorter cranks. However, RA is so strong she can increase power just by pedal force and keep a low cadence (
Enjoyed this and of course am always impressed by the dedication needed to train this much by yourself. I put in 10-12 hours each week and can't imagine how hard it would be to double that, week after week. And Ruth has some mad skill with the bread machine--I always measure out everything!😉
Ive got achilles issue also the last 3 months. I see you are in rehab for it. Do you get the soreness every morning in achilles for first 10mins or so? Its a tricky tendon aye :/
Just saw the framed swim caps for the first time, love it!
Always interesting, thanks for sharing your journey with us!
Alison big fan from Switzerland 🇨🇭
Really glad the running is coming along! Looking great! ❤ 😊

Wonderful insight into your training day. I was curious to know where your spark comes from. Looks like motion in training
Ps I love that you show the monotony of fueling when u are dead tired. I forget to eat sometimes but feel it later 😂
