I play a lot of ka50 for SL to keep up with my American tree, and It's funny because you can EASILY destroy a incoming Vihkr nowadays, when I started Helis I opened the AH1G same day Ka50 was released, and I didn't think about shooting the incoming missiles at that time at ALL
Which you could do with both rockets and MG's, and now It's only ka50's and 52's that seem to know the Vihkr's downsides, Why we shoot low tier is if you start a dogfight with a good ka50 pilot you both end up losing all your ammo getting that 1 target destroyed per death does not get you any SL.
And USE ROCKETS, they are the best (except a Vihkr) for shooting down incoming Vihkr's, remember 4M PROXY FUSE, AND remember to call for backup and bind keys for radio commands like:

You'd be surprised how many honorable players there are out there helping suffering grinders.
I remember covering a Ka29 all the way out to kill the whole caravan objective, I can tell you he was happy as F for just some 10min decency.
And also the City map is the best map there is for every tier.
And you know every player who's capable of shooting missiles LOVES a ka50 in another dogfight, they have to keep fixated on the target until the missile hits, except this one awesome time I shot one away, left that target to shoot another, got him and then got back to the first one just in time to lock the target and the missile hits 10km away, it was so goddamn beautiful but so goddamn sadly a poor low tier, I mean what the F happened with balance during development..
Still, AH64D favorite to the BONE, pure love baby.

Nerf Ka-50s by making other things better. The OTOMATIC should have 8km range vs helis.
Or maybe make the other helicopters just a little bit closer to their irl counterparts. Like the whole fucking point of the AH-64D Apache Longbow is the fact that is has the Longbow radar, and fires fire and forget radar guided Hellfires. Of course IRL it can track 16 targets from just below a ridgeline, pop up, fire all 16 simultaneously and fly away as they all hit. I don't believe this aspect should be in the game. The Hellfires can be shot in both top-attack for attacking tanks and such, or direct attack, something not in game that would just be a core normal feature and also happen to balance it against the KA-50 nicely.
The AH-64D in radar is just a AH-64A with better situational awareness. So the Apache Longbow with radar, guided L variant hellfires that have a proper choice of top/direct attack while being slower and shorter ranged than the KA-50 would balance it quite well, if not be OP against the KA-50, even if just limited to 8 of them to the KA-50s 12. Really they just need to do one of these options, either the Fire and Forget which is already in the game for the Eurocopter, or direct attack laser guided.
I bet other helicopters are unrealistically portrayed as well and so therefore are made obsolete against the KA-50 who is portrayed more accurately. Release the handicaps to some degree so other helos won't be too OP against it, and it'll work out for the benefit of the game.

This Heli is my personal nightmare anytime I touch Heli EC, I dare not grind out even the UH-1B, because you get fucked immediately by about 25-30 missiles, sometimes right after spawning even before taking off.

I barely see an ADATS fighting against a Ka-50. Mostly they focus on tanks or they're just too incompetent and get killed by the helicopter. So the task is left for me cleaning the air with a Stormer HVM which has around 5,80km range instead of the 7,00km indicated.

I'll probably pick up the Italian helicopter soon; I do not own it at the minute.
But from what I can tell, it doesn't seem that good. No AAM, No cannon. The hellfires are good for ground realistic; but in Heli EC, I think it will struggle a lot.

@@SAKOSNIPER I have it and it is devastating in Ground realistic mainly because it has Thermal Imaging I do a lot better in the Italian Helicopter than I do in the KA-50 for Ground realistic I've not played either of them in heli EC much I find that game mode really boring

Heli EC is pretty repetitive, it's good if you want to play helis without the stress of radar SPAAGs
Thanks again for letting me know about the thermal sights, I got the Italian premium tank in the sale, so it should go nicely with that!
@@SAKOSNIPER yeh it really does make a big difference for a helicopter to have thermal and it also has a laser guided missile lock too which is great so u only need to keep the target on the tank and watch the countdown plus the missile goes in the air and comes down on top of the tanks where there armour is the weakest so it's pretty much a guaranteed kill lol it does go very nice with my 3 C1 Ariete's

Dang, that was a low blow to the CR2. Is it really that bad at 10.3?
It's just really slow compared the other tanks, and only good in a defensive Hull down position.
Basically all the British tanks from 8.3 to 10.3 are Hull down snipers; just not very flexible

1:36 You forgot you can easily get Crew level 150 on Tanks AND 75 on Aircraft and Heli on each crew slot as well.
Im doing that before Starting Russian tanks and planes!

Out of sheer spite I've decided to grind the soviet tree without the ka50. This thing makes heli EC unplayable. On the flipside though, I've become a whiz with the soviet heavy rockets and know what maps are good for early heli rocket rushes, which I'm hoping will serve me well once I finally unlock the havoc, which was the main reason I started to grind in the first place.

NO can seem to give an simple asnwer of it.
I play on PS5 (so I probably won’t be much help) but the same button you use to “stabilize sights” just do that over a target *in gunner view* and your helicopter should be able to guide the missile into the tank without your input...hope that helped!!

This helicopter is still overpowered and maybe really fun to play in both ground RB and EC. But if you buy and play it you have to know you are still ruining the game and you will be constantly insulted by reason. I especially grinded the tiger UHT to ruin them with how much i hate them and i'm not the single one.

Thankfully most KA-50 players are dumb and don't know what to do once they run out of AAM's
So with my premium BO-105 (since it's the only heli I have that's worth a damn), I just rush KA-50's while hitting the deck below 30m where their Vikhers can't do squat and then I pop up, hit them with the gun, and they either straight up die or eventually crash.
It's the only success I have against the KA-50's, and usually I end up dying by some other unseen threat... but hey, at least it nets me a few air kills.

Almost 2 years later and this is still the most overpowered heli and abused heli in game, no nerfs incoming in sight and will prob only get outperformed by even more powercreep?
Dude if you play a lot of heli games you will learn the basics then you can realize that Ka50 is just newbie friendly but not that OP how everyone crying. An EC665 can easily counter it. I am eating Kamovs with French eurocopter.... anyway Apaches are strong against them too just fly below 40m height till you get close enough and stay under them. (i played a lot with Ka50 for silver farm thats why i know how to counter it :D )

Probably somebody can help me, when I tried the Ka-50 in the test drive I have big troubles flying it.
Even when I fly a straight line I fall out of the sky after some very gentle maneuvers.
I never had this with any other helicopter.
Sometimes I see Ka-50 in mixed RB dodge missiles, I can't even imagine how they do that.
Oh yes the use atgm against aircraft and other helis realistic....
The atgms are accurate you can actually use them against aircraft in real life

yeah flakrad was added to fight it, but quickly got nerfed with repair costs of 16k STOCK, thing will hul break by anything exploding close by, its clear gaijin dosent want to dissapoint ka50 owners.

What gayjin tell us about the VIKhr ist total bullshit , max range of a VIKhr launched from a heli is 8000 meters , for 10.000 meters the VIKhr has to be launched from a plane . At night the ka50 can shoot the VIKhr over a maximum range off 5000 - 6000 meters and no cm more and the average speed off the VIKhr is 350 m/s and not 600 m/s . The ka 50 has to cooldown his lasersystem for 25 - 30 sec. after ervery longrange shot ( Beamrider Missile ) .They have no idea about their own Weaponsystems XD.
And btw the KA 50 is the cancer of War Thunder.
