Re-watching this series during covoid-19 lockdown. I first watched this as it aired in 2009 with wifi at mcdonalds. I was homeless at the time(my family is one of those that lost everything during the 2008 financial crisis; home, cars, everything.) Watching this series was my only happy place and this song would always get to me. Edit: Interesting how I gravitated towards this series again during another life disaster. I'm in better shape now with the quarantine than I was during the 2008 financial crisis, but I'm sure there are many that are suffering in these trying times. Godspeed, everyone.

What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger; and up until that point I almost never ate school breakfast/lunch, that changed.(I made sure to eat it all as it might be my only meals that day) I became more aware of the value of money, social customs and being grateful for the things I have.(at that time it was my laptop my grandpa bought me. I still have it even today works great too because I took good care of it) I grew up fast in a small amount of time. And I had sweet moments too. Like the nice old lady that worked at McDs', she would occasionally buy me a meal when she would see me snackin' on an order of a small fries.(A few years back I went to look for her to give her a gift and a thank you card, but the manager told me she had quit long ago) But thank you for your comment, you're very sweet. You made me tear up too :)
Kimi ni todoke is a legendary romance anime, light hearted but so touching, so cute and realistic... just the way it makes you fall in love with it's setting..❤

Just watched this anime today, currently on Ep 8 of S1. Beyond explainable. I loved Sawako's personality and that her ignorance is a very big part of her character. Sawako smiling is the most beautiful girl I've never seen. Kazehaya though is a very understandable character. (correct me if i'm wrong) He had feelings for Sawako the very first time they met right? And the fact the he has this cute gesture when fluttered. The anime makes you think he is a perfect character but halfway shows he is still a high school boy. Also I cried on the very first ep.

I remember when I first found Kimi Ni Todoke (manga) in the book store and was immediately drawn to it. Kazehaya was so inspirational to me the way he tries so hard to reach Sawako.
