To me Mike Barnes is the most important character of this season because he's going to teach these students what it takes to win the Sekai Taikai and that he may have to fight dirty and also maybe we will get a backstory of how he became the bad boy of karate
I really hope that Mike gets a sparring match with johnny or do something similar to how johnny and daniel did a mini tournament to see who leads the class
Mike is literally like you guys know the book throws it in the trash your training is a joke compared to what's coming ile push your limits and push way past them don't it scream top gun. Maverick with the manual everyone knows it so does the enemy

I think in my opinion we should spy on that guy and I want him to have a little encounter with Johnny one last time too I don't know we should be trusting Mike Barnes in my opinion buddy I don't know it was a little sketchy on the phone thing last season and a lot of ways. Even with lorusso with that lawyer thing I don't know I don't know if Mike's even telling the truth or not that. I mean he got abandoned after karate kid 3 he's just a spy for Terry silver hands down. I may be the odd one out here. Am I happy to see Mike Barnes return? Yes. But as far as beefing him up this much? No. We must remember that Silver's guys incapacitated him VERY quickly in season 5. Johnny, was on his own with all of them and was still standing in the end. IMO from what we have seen of Johnny vs Mike Barnes so far...Johnny is the better fighter.

Terry Silver's guys vs Barnes: Silver's guys wins. Mike Barnes has not had a single victory in the franchise. The only thing he succeeded in doing was making Danny boy piss his pants...and after Daniel's fight for life against Chozen this was something that Daniel should have been so far advanced to have never let happen. I just don't see the hype that is being put into Barnes.

Now, from this clip it seems that he is going to be pitting people against each other after Daniel went to him. Reeks of classic Mike Barnes/Terry Silver KK3...and it could be Danny boy fell for it again.

Yeah I would love it if Barnes turned out to be a villain all along because he’s not supposed to be redeemed. They already redeemed enough villains

That is true, but I think they had to sideline him since Mike's actor was injured during the filming of S5 and they had to limit his fight scenes.
