Me too! Here I am despite the 100's of times I've seen it. Despite all the tons of new and old artists, this simple, quick video is perfection, full of tingles, no nonsense, very realistic. Basically everything I could want or need to calm down, get lost in the presentation, while watching a true artist do her thing so beautifully.
Makeup roleplays like this are incredibly hard to find. Ones where the asmrtist doesn't drag out the actions and make them thrice as long as they should be but also where the theme of the video isn't "fast and aggressive" with rushed speech and clumsy movements.
I agree, I feel like this about asmr in general. I don't get tingles from the videos where they're trying too hard to be in a completely silent background with perfect whispers or low voices. I remember getting tingles accidentally from makeup tutorials when I was a kid, before asmr even became a community.
Totally agree. Soft spoken ASMR relaxes me. Whispering annoys and irritates me to no end. I automatically click off the video if I hear nothing but that.
I still come back to this video after all these years. A big fan of the older style roleplays where you actually touch the camera and can hear the natural background noises. Not keen on layered effects.

Watching in 2023 love the video Jens so friendly so natural warm and carefree she is not force acting a role with attitude and props l sadly is all we get these days.Sadly asmr has turned into a competition who can look the best/be the best/ most outrageous just to win subs from their audience . It’s being herself and the simplicity of a relatable every day topic area and her ease of delivery that gives it such an authentic genuine feel . As the asmr sounds and effects come across as real not forced definitely a winner for me:)

I don't know why but it is so much more comfortable for me that you're not wearing a ton of makeup like other asmrtists. I know it's a makeup role play haha, so that seems counterintuitive, but I guess it feels more personal and comfortable to me. I don't wear makeup myself, I just like the tingles. And here they abound! Thanks for a great video :)

Everything from "8:00" or so onwards was really good for me. The pauses punctuated by short, close, whispered words or sounds like the spray bottle and straightener.

Ok literally this is perfect I usually HATE brush sounds but I love makeup role plays and it's like my worst nightmare when the brush sounds are loud and obnoxious (I also LOATHE cotton ughhh) so this was just awesome thank you hahaha

Taylor Branch Well, coming from the asmr subreddit/and noticing it more and more in youtube, it seems that alotta guys "fiend" for certain girl roleplays for more than the personal attention. I really wish it wasn't the case, but if you look at a lot of the asmr roleplayers here, they do show a lot of cleavage and many come across as insincere. Jen's style has always been nothing short of heartfelt and genuine and her accent(s) are so perfect! She instantly makes me think she's been my best friend for years lol. I guess I thought the word, "fiend" may have been interpreted like, in a way, creepy-sounding? So that was my mini disclaimer! Still feinding tho...
I agree! And yes, the "creeping" that gets into the comments is a bit upsetting sometimes... I have to say, I don't think cleavage or otherwise makes it OK for watchers to make sexualizing comments! But I feel the same way, I sometimes like to point out that I'm female to minimize any inadvertent threatening or creepiness that might come through in my gushy comments :)
