I dog sit and one lady has a 3 galgos (all rescues) along with 5 other dogs they have the best home a dog door to be free to go outside and a whole property to be on in the country. Galgos have truly caught my heart unlike any other dog breed there is! I love them and I can't wait till i have the opportunity to commit to taking in my own galgo, because 100× will be my first dog I pick ❤️ Thanks for all the work! I feel bad for all the people who have never had the opportunity to be around one of these amazing dogs because there is no dog breed quite like them so sad people don't see that Thanks again for your work ❤🐕

We have 2 Podenco mixes that were found in the bins in a litter of 6. They bring so much joy to our lives and are local celebrities in our pueblo. Many Spanish people don't recognize their breed if they are not from the campo, but I'm always happy to educate them about the lives faced here by sight hounds.

Oh my goodness..they are terrified. We had an Irish traveller Lurcher [dumped as pup with her sister] and she was depressed and timid but blossomed into a very confident dog who feared nothing but the hoover ...they make lovely pets.
its so terrible to see under which conditions thousands of dogs have to live in Spain, in dark cold basements, without care and affection, just abused as hunting tools. This must stop now, hunting with dogs has to be prohibited at last....thank you galgos del sol for having rescued them!!!!

Wauw, just wauw, the stress that animal was in! I sincerely hope that he will get better and I am so grateful that you are doing the work to help these dogs. It must take a lot of emotional strength to deal with this on a daily basis. We are about to adopt our first galgo and my heart bleeds to think a place like this is where he comes from.
It's funny to read this comment again now as I just found out our second adopted galgo, Sailor, might originally come from the place this was filmed in. What a nightmare, poor girl. Thankfully she has a different life now, we love her to bits.

I rescue greyhounds a lot, and whenever I see these poor babies (both greys and galgos) locked up and visibly abused, it makes me see red. I’m not a violent person, but whenever I see these sweet, loving, innocent babies being mistreated, it makes me want to punch the people who hurt them. However, since I can’t really do that, I try to make up for it by giving them lots of love and making them as safe and happy as I can

the administrator/administrators died and the shelter as well as the greyhounds were abandoned? please🙇, i would like to know🤔 what happened🤔 because the dogs were abandoned... i also have a very small shelter and it is so difficult to establish an infrastructure and then after this shelter was abandoned🤔
I love these dogs but the comments make me give an eye-roll. I’ve seen worse kennels here in the states. I think I only saw one poop during the whole video. Yes, they were malnourished with skin problems and stressed out over being taken out of the only environment that they knew but I’ve seen a lot worse here in the states. Those kennels were surprisingly very clean. I’ll bet all these comments eat meat and don’t care how chickens, pigs, cows are made to stand ankle high in their own feces, kept cramped while tortured and butchered for our consumption.
