agreed psa is a mess , if you send in a new pokémon card today that’s relatively clean good centering you have a very high chance of a 10 , you send a 10 year old pokémon good centering looks like a legit 10 candidate you fight for a 8 or a 9 , a 10 is a miracle on a vintage card .. that’s not how things should be age should not determine grading judge things the same if you allow slight flaws on new cards you can’t say things should be different there should be a level grading scale. I will stop there being that there is much more to be said about cards getting damaged and employees that do things to obviously make bank this company sold out when business boomed and will never recover because there leadership has placed poor grading skills on employees

What does a service like this cost? I have an original charzard not a first edition but the next and some others just kicking it in a binder. A few are actually first editions but idk if they are rare ones

What kind of cleaning kit do you use? I have some cards I want to clean before sending them off
We use Kurt’s Products currently, we are testing different products, just still in test phase.
For a card like this you can use any water based cleaning product. If you need to polish a card, any AIO nano polish will work with a microfiber cloth. Whoever sent this in dirty is to blame for the low grade, not the card. Nothing was wrong with it except it needed to be wiped down.

Safe to say a becket 8.5 is equivalent to a PSA 6 ? Or am I wrong
I collect mainly sports cards and PSA seems to be the standard. I dont see many buying anything else or if they do it's cheaper. Based on my personal experience I would say your statement holds some weight.
Totaly wrong Beckett slaps hold way more weight then psa.
Beckett has way stricter rules for grading.
Thats why an BGS 10 will always be more expensive then an Psa 10

@Dr-puppenstein you need to understand that the amount of pop there is for psa 10s is much higher than Beckett 10 or Black Label. There are only so many black labels.for certain cards because of how strict beckett is compared to psa

Yeah the cleaning didn't get the increase in grade lol, cleaning does very little in most cases.
At the end of the day, atleast I know we presented the card the best way possible. And I’ll do whatever I can, to help the card improve.

For one, most people don't know how to properly clean, including those who charge money for cleaning services
Two, very very very rarely do you see significant grade adjustments on regraded cards. And again, with grading companies in their current state, there are many other factors that are dictating the cards grade that have nothing to do with the cards cleanliness.

The comps actually run very close, and a Beckett black label trumps all PSA 10’s in cost.

@@Mr.Toe88what do you mean I have had friends crack their slabs try to clean and resend and they have never got a "no grade" back. Maybe they didn't raise their original grade everytime but they always returned graded again
@@Mr.Toe88what do you mean lol people crack and resubmit cards all the time…you are absolutely allowed to clean your cards up before submitting or resubmitting. This card is 20+ years old and you should absolutely present the card to the grading company as pristine as you possibly can.

@@RocketCollect that’s why I say it’s a scam look up alpha investments a RUclipsr that also started his own grading company. Did not mean your cleaning is a scam. But I have also seen people take a psa card and send to Beckett no cleaning and still obtain a better grade! I like to sniff the cards so I don’t grade mine! I mean when you think about the fact the companies that grade the cards themselves aren’t 100% the guy who sold Logan Paul his charizard said he resubmitted it multiple times and never got a 10 but when he sold he a 10 was given that doesnt make it right but these grading companies aren’t 100% with fault either

I do not think this is altering , the definition of altering is to change. Since you are refurbishing the card you are not changing it you are returning it to previous state it once was in. You don't change back. you return to.
