great to see mrs NQ find a bit of the yellow stuff, enjoyed the hole video. waiting for the next one. cheers crampo enjoy your adventures & good prospecting
Nice nugget Mrs's NQ congrats :) wonderful trip thanks guys for taking us along :) neat match box tin and pretty agate's and wonderful to see all the wild life :)HH!
persitence persistence.... you are real goldrush-treassure hunters thats for sure. respect!! so cool to find relics from old goldminers :) great video, HH!
@silvervella Thanks for watching Silvervella, well the ATPro was a big success, with the stock DD coil, wasnt really bothered by hot ground or false signals, and it found the gold. Great detector, best of luck in the Golden Triangle mate and Happy Prospecting.
@aaaarrrgggghh Thanks for watching our video aaaarrrgggghh (LOL - great name), we haven't used the Sea Hunter, so couldn't comment, but love the Infinium, great value for money and lots of raw power - I think the two units are pretty similar. We have both the 14 inch DD and 14 inch Mono coil - next purchase will be the 8 inch mono for difficult spots or long grass and in creek gullies. Best of luck mate and Happy Prospecting!
Another terrific video NQ and Mrs NQ. Loved the opening song it sounds a different version from the original version.. Well done Mrs NQ on that nugget a terrific find and a testimony to your detecting skills. Surely there is more there! GL and HH for your next adventure. Stunned at how hot it was - I was in the Tully area but it was only in the high 20s last week!
Thanks for watching Yurivic - this was more a video diary of the prospecting trip, not so much an instructional for the Infinium - which by the way is quite easy to use, we will include some instructional techniques on our next prospecting video. Happy Prospecting mate!
It's an enjoyable experience watching your video, especially when Mrs NQ find gold, big congratulations to her, of course. She's the gold lady, whereas from now on, you're tha button man :) Love the agate hunt, in fact I love doing that myself. What more could I ask for, wildlife, scenery and delicious finds, well done and thanks for sharing, can't wait for your next video. Good hunting and stay safe :D
G'day Len - Crampo is the right bloke to talk to and deal with for sure! But we highly recommend the AT Pro and the AT Gold, we have both. The AT Gold is great on fine gold with the small coil, we haven't had any issues with hot ground and it ground balances easily, and hot rocks are easily balanced out. Check with Crampo but would recommend the AT Gold, as you can also coin and relic hunt at the press of a button! Happy Prospecting mate. Warren.
@robsue LOL thanks Robsue, we had a great time, after a big day out the comfort of the caravan is appreciated - we have 'gone soft', used to sleep on the ground once LOL. Love that Dingoes song too - pity we couldn't had squeezed more of it in. HH mate and best of luck.
@1963Willo Thanks for watching and commenting Willo, that is the original Dingoes version of 'Way out West' (1973). The temp - back on the coast, as you say, high 20s, middle of the Cape, high 30s, but cooled down a little at night so sleeping was possible LOL. Fortunately the humidity is still low so the first storms are some time off, the fires in the tinder-dry grass are the threat at the moment. Best wishes and HH mate, keep up the great finds and videos!
@farenheit1100 Appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment Hugh, had to put the road train in because I like big, noisy things LOL. Thanks for your help with the Snider information. HH with your new detector mate and best of luck.
Well done Mrs NQ with the gold nugget, nice find, some nice relics coming up with yourself, like the small bullet, i think it might an old musket bullet just like the twin ring i found and can't identify but will get there one day lol. Great video mate keep them coming and good luck on your next outing mate.
@fluoridekid Thanks for your comments Flouridekid, much appreciated, we are going to try to put up some more gemstone fossicking as there are areas here for topaz, agate, sapphires and even the occasional rare diamond. More trips planned so will do videos whenever we can. HH mate and best wishes.
@GrizzlyGroundswell Thanks for watching Chad, hope you get your button back LOL. You know we dug almost 40 buttons over a few days, and each night would count them to make sure we hadn't dropped any LOL. Best thing about the old buttons is they are all branded with a makers name, which gives them a real historical context. HH mate and best of luck on your next.
Great video NQ, thanks a lot. I've had an Ace 250 now for a couple of years & am about to upgrade to an AT Gold & hopefully get out amongst it a bit. Keep the videos coming mate. (Steve from Townsville).
@TreasurDiggrNY Thanks for watching and commenting TreasurDiggrNY, much appreciated. Well our setup is hardly 'roughing' it, sure a lot easier than the Old Timers did it in the goldfields during the rushes. HH mate and best of luck.
It's good to know that the AT Pro can find gold in Australia,I'm glad that I purchased one and can't wait to get out into the goldfields in Victoria, congrats on the gold nugget
@PeaceHavens Thanks for watching Ged, by the age of that old goanna, he was probably one you saw back in '73 mate LOL. Off to watch your latest now. HH and best of luck mate.
@magpie307 Thanks for watching magpie307, that little 'bullet', well I thought it may be a bullet, maybe from one of those tiny pistols of the time? I will measure the calibre and see if I can futher identify it. Thanks for that, off to watch your latest video now. Happy hunting.
@jacktreasurehunter Thanks for watching Jacktreasurehunter, yep fires have started here, lots of dry grass from last summers big wet, once they get into that gulf country they will burn for weeks. HH mate and keep your great adventures coming.
@garbageguru1 Thanks for watching and commenting GarbageGuru. Well the gold is out there alright, and the big nuggets pop up now and then if you are lucky. Couldnt resist putting the Road Train in, I love 'em LOL. They are 50 metres long and when one is coming the other way - you just get off the road. HH mate and best of luck.
@Bentley240 Thanks for watching and commenting Andy, we visited an old WW2 radar site on the same trip so hope to have that video up in the next week or so. HH mate.
@betadoctor Thanks very much for that Betadoctor, the next time I find one, I will know what it is! Best wishes mate, thanks for watching and Happy Hunting.
@seeradog Seeradog, thanks for watching mate - the Infinium is an absolutely fabulous machine, you have made a great choice and the economics of buying from the US are all in our favour - we got ours from the US last year. Easy to use, raw power that runs super-smooth over the hottest of ground. Very best of luck with the Infinium mate, hope to see you dig up your "retirement nugget" this year! Happy Prospecting!
@averyhse Thanks for watching Averyhse - and the calculations! Sure can turn the day around when you find gold - and as you say, $123 for digging a small hole is OK LOL. Happy Prospecting!
@SuperJammygit Thanks SuperJammgit, I think we found close to 40 old branded buttons on the trip, dont know what those old timers were doing with their clothing LOL. All in lovely condition too because of the mostly dry conditions. HH mate and best of luck.
Excellent outing mate! Hard to top gold and wildlife! Saw a fellas video where he used a grader to get below where the miners hand dug and found some BIG nuggets! Gotta be some laying around waiting on you to find them! Amazing the old guys found as much as they did with the way they had to do it! Can't get over those big rigs with all the trailers. At least they don't have to back up one of those monsters! You and Mrs.NQ make a great team! Sorry the shoes fell victim to the terrain!
@Donringpull77 Thanks Donringpull77, well the agate can be worth quite a bit when it is cut and polished for jewellery setting, you can get very large and beautiful pieces further upstream, as well as "Thunder Eggs" and crystal geodes. Its always a good idea to keep your eyes to the ground out there, so much to find LOL. HH mate and best of luck.
Wonderful video again. Where else could you do it all in one trip, gold prospect, relic hunt, and hunt for agates? Watching the wildlife and the road train kind of reminds me of the old movie "Alice to Nowhere". Congrats to M\s. NQ on the nugget. I am sure she will find a good use for it. GL and Hh Hugh
@DiggingNorway Thanks for watching DN, best thing about the old goldfields, if you are not finding gold, you can go relic hunting and there is always something interesting that comes to light. Best of luck on your next trip out and HH.
@Alexsusik1976 Alex, we have the stock 10 x 14 DD but use the 10 x 14 Mono almost exclusively - runs really quiet and haven't yet found any ground too hot to detect. The 8 inch mono that you have is a great idea - and is next on our "wish list". Happy Hunting mate!
@moleman1961 Amazingly, not a single snake spotted on this trip, unusual because September/October is breeding season and they can be quite active, although we always make sure we make plenty of noise in the long grass to keep them away. HH mate and thanks for watching.
Thanks for watching and commenting Sean, we also now have the AT Gold, and have only used it on relics as gets - will send you a link to that video. The situation is the same here in Australia - the 'old timers' worked all the creeks and detecting the creek beds is a real test of patience, 'virgin' bush is preferable in areas only prospected by the old timers. The AT Gold is fantastic - we will be using it with our Infinium in the next few months in the goldfields. HH mate! Warren.
@dogahog Thanks dogahog, beautiful country for sure, but so dry now and I reckon the fires, when they get going, are going to be bad this year, but that means better detecting next year LOL. HH mate and best of luck.
looks nice and dry up that way. i heard their been fires already in qld. good to see you using pinpointer, i went out with 4 veteran detectorist a few weeks back, all doing the cup swing over the coil. none ever used a pinpointer probe, glad you found some gold. congrats
@hellsmetaldetecting Thanks for watching, love to have you out here, and bring your detector, lots of country to cover and definitely plenty more gold to find, HH in Norway and best of luck.
@magpie307 More info on the little bullet Magpie307, Janhyooz (Ian) has just found a similar item on his Isle of Wight video and identified it as a Minie bullet. Thanks for your help mate and HH.
@madsonicboating Thanks for watching from "Over the ditch", you are welcome to come over any time, but not sure if they will let anyone leave until the Rugby World Cup is over LOL. HH mate and best of luck.
@EchucaDigger Thanks mate, yeah she's giving me curry over that gold LOL. She's got the AT Pro under control in a short period of time. Love to go back out there soon but the wet isnt far off and the storms will start, then you cant get in/out, could be a longer than planned holiday - although on second thoughts thats not a bad thing LOL. HH mate.
@OLDGOLD1100 Thanks for sitting through 19 minutes LOL, edited down from about 40 LOL. A few more videos from the trip in the next couple of weeks when I get the editing done. HH mate and best of luck.
@BassGoesBoom1 G'day BassGoesBoom - we haven't used the ATGold - but the ATPro was screaming over that 2.4 grammer - and down to very small pieces of lead and wire of similar conductivity to gold. The ATGold - operates at an even higher frequency as I understand it - and would be super-sensitive. That DD coil is great in the hottest of ground, with either auto or manual GB. Hot rocks no issue. Light and easy to swing. I reckon the ATGold would be a great investment mate! Happy Prospecting!
@stemart1641 Steve, appreciate your comments mate, that AT Gold is a great investment and a very versatile machine at a great value price - hope to see you digging up some great treasures and (large) nuggets soon. All the best and Happy Prospecting! Warren.
@NQExplorers We too always camped using tents but last year, bit the bullet and bought a van. Slight regret - not getting an off road axle but I'm sure we'll trade up one day.
Thanks for your comment - that was the AT Pro (not the AT Gold), in Zero discrimination mode that found the nugget. All the best and Happy Prospecting!
For your info....8:32 in the vid. That is the bane of my MDing here in the Western USA. A 22 cal. bullet. There must be a billion of them every where I go. I know that little bugger aallll to well!! Best of luck to you an I enjoy your vids.
@IrocOn2 Thanks for your comments Iroc, after day 3, I was following her around closely, quite the prospector she is (unlike myself LOL). Probably time she started her own channel LOL, HH mate and best of luck.
@Janhyooz Much appreciated Ian, when she got the nugget, first thought was to stringline the site "Like Janhyooz" LOL. No string of course, just used some strategically placed rocks, to the same effect. HH mate and best of luck.
Nice gold flake!! My dream is to just do this.. Travel to Australia with my detector and go for gold.. Oh well, im just glad im finding silver coins now and then! But gold nuggets!! Come on... I want that in my nature to!!
@mkcooper02 Thanks Mkcooper02, yeah love the old Dingos song, considered stretching out the start to include more of it, but the vid was already long enough LOL. HH mate and best of luck.
Gidday NQExplorers, I can't afford a M/L GPX detector, would a Garrett AT PRO metal detector be the best buy on budget ? I am in Victoria, so Maryborough, Dunolly, Heathcote will be my hunting grounds, I shop from crampo myself, so I might ask him the same question. Cheers Len
Congratulations on finding that little golden beauty. There isn't anything better than hunting for buried treasure. It's like being a kid again.
A good trip, a nice caravan to rest in and loot to take home. Well done.
Love the Dingoes song.

@silvervella
Thanks for watching Silvervella, well the ATPro was a big success, with the stock DD coil, wasnt really bothered by hot ground or false signals, and it found the gold. Great detector, best of luck in the Golden Triangle mate and Happy Prospecting.

Subbed!!! Great video! Great Channel!
@BassGoesBoom1
G'day BassGoesBoom - we haven't used the ATGold - but the ATPro was screaming over that 2.4 grammer - and down to very small pieces of lead and wire of similar conductivity to gold.
@stemart1641
Steve, appreciate your comments mate, that AT Gold is a great investment and a very versatile machine at a great value price - hope to see you digging up some great treasures and (large) nuggets soon.
All the best and Happy Prospecting!
some good finds
For your info....8:32 in the vid. That is the bane of my MDing here in the Western USA. A 22 cal. bullet. There must be a billion of them every where I go. I know that little bugger aallll to well!! Best of luck to you an I enjoy your vids.
hi there, nice vids and great taste in music :) just trying to find out if the Infinium is much better than the sea hunter

Thanks Mkcooper02, yeah love the old Dingos song, considered stretching out the start to include more of it, but the vid was already long enough LOL.
Cheers
Len
