- L3 AN/PEQ-15 Laser Overview
Licentia Arms is all about science. It’s important to understand the technologies that help us be successful in the dark. Lasers are a very critical part of owning the night. This is our first of a 4 part video series on lasers. **One thing to note, in the video we said that the PEQ’s laser cannot be toned back. This is true, there is no adjustment to adjust the output power. However, the diffuser cap on the unit will diffuse down the laser. Although this is possible, when combined with the high power illuminator, the laser with the diffuser cap is weaker than we would like it to be and therefor rarely used.
Clear and concise. Thank you!
Appreciate you mentioning the illuminator "petri dish" spill pattern. I noticed a non complete circular pattern on my most recent FP and thought the illuminator was defective. Good to know it's design limitations. Guess I got to pay to play for a cleaner Ngal pattern.
Would have been nice to see how the low power performed at the longer distance, not just the 100 yard berm. The full power seems a bit much actually for aiming at 100 yards and in. Thanks for sharing.
Cool!
Is it legal to own the military/LE version? How do you verify that it isn't stolen so you don't get in trouble down the road?
Just go to Afghanistan and get one…Joe Biden left a million of these for the Taliban terrorists
If there is no serial there is no way to track it and find out its stolen
Don't ask don't tell
Hello. I have a question, if I do not have a full power peq 15, will that laser lead right back to me or will a normal power peq 15 NOT have that?? Thank you and thank you for your timely response
a civilian power laser will not have as much of a defined beam due to the power restrictions, however, you still will have an IR signature with any laser.
@@LicentiaArmsCo correct I understand that, but which laser would be the best or closest to that?? Thank you an thank you for your timely response
@@blackbushido your emitter will give you away regardless
@@mk6315 Oh ok, so it would be better for MAWL or will the emitter give me away regardless or should I get a full power peq 15?? Thank you an thank you for your timely response
@@blackbushido just get a peq with adjustable power, the beam will still be visible through dust or smoke but it’s a level of concealment
I’m Army and would love to have one for personal use, is there a good place to pick one up on the civilian side?
You’ll have to go to third party for that. It’s restricted to sell to departments/units with official letterheads. Individuals cannot purchase full power
@@DriveMyselfSane Rgr that, I believe I have a source that can get me what I have used for years. Thanks brother! God bless!
@@coryj8374 join the nvg 101 group on Facebook many members sell full power la5s I just got one for 2K for an m16a4 clone build
@@chromosomehoarder6927 thank you brother, I already sent a request to join!
DM me
all of these are only visible with nvg right?
When they are in an IR setting, yes, you need night vision or a camera that can pick them up.
@@LicentiaArmsCo so if the enemy has NVG it’s basically useless??
JFC the throw compared to the civilian units is insane
How do companies even get away with selling stuff like the DBAL A3 or ATPIAL-C let alone the Holosuns...
that is so bright at 100 yards i don't see it being useful for aiming at something barely see the target its so bright lol
A lot of the target wash out is from the camera. However, the brighter settings are mostly used at distance and to overpower photonic barriers.
Seeing the equipment the Taliban now has courtesy of the democrats and Joe Biden brought me here…
Wow, that's some mind bending casting of blame when you consider Bush started the whole odyssey 20 + years ago. Literally billions unaccounted for and all kinds of equipment left around before Biden was in office, but you know, keep watching Fox News.
