- On TLC’s 'Sister Wives,' Kody and Christine's kids, Ysabel and Mykelti, react to the news their parents are splitting up after 26 years of marriage. The family comes together for the first time since the two announced their separation, to celebrate Ysabel's birthday and graduation. As they all gather for the occasion, Kody continues struggling with coming to terms with the decision. 'Sister Wives' airs Sundays on TLC.

There are consequences to favoritism and unequal treatment. Kody is finally seeing how damaging his own choices have been to the family. He favored Robyn all these years and all the other wives/children suffered for it.

But that's the thing about polyvamy. There will never be fairness and equality. Sure, the man can ensure that every home has equal needs but he will never be able to give them equal parts of him because each woman is satisfying different, unequal parts of his ego. There will always be that one wife that has majority share and the others will have minority but are expected to put in much, if not more, effort as the majority shareholder.
So, sure. Christine has done her part and has realised that this marriage isn't serving her anymore. She gave away her shares to someone else who needs them because who wants to stay stagnant in life? 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️
I think it's sad to say this but I'm sure deep down their children are relieved to see their mum finally put them and herself first.
And that's the responsibility as a mom. You have to teach your kids to fight for their own happiness.
You earn respect. Looking back a few years all the kids respected their dad but they now see the way he treat Robyn and her kids completely differently

Just thinking about how he treats ( meri whom can walk out the door and she’s a damn fool for staying because she will regret it) the treatment of Janelle and Christine was unfair always. They were good wives. The treatment of the JanelleS kids and of Christine’s by meri they should have all put a piece of soap in a pillow case and nail her with it . Put a stop to that ever happening to anyones kids in that family again. That should have never happened.
Kody wants sympathy for a choice he made. Nobody asked you to have 4 wives, and have this many children. You are one person. Of course there’s going to be strains on your relationships. Why would you think that this was ever a good idea?? It’s simple math.
He hasn’t been a lover to anyone but Robyn for years. The hurt came from his lack of support, compassion and non existent shows of love (kisses and touches) that he has shown to the other 3 wives. He flat out pushes Meri away, told Christine time and again he is not attracted to her and shows it too. Janelle is just basically friends with him and doesn’t care. I am so proud of Christine leaving. I hope Janelle and Meri follow suit.

Kody the Ugly had always been a self serving creep. It depressing that the other "wives" are so blind or brainwashed that they don't see how Kody the Ugly is destroying them. Fortunately the adult children have gotten far away enough from Kody the Ugly to see who he really is.
How can anyone respect a man Who has 4 wives? No one can be a good husband to 4 wives. How can he even be a good father to that many children? Of course there's going to be a lack of respect.

I figured when he quit seeing Meri, Robyn took that extra time. smh. I can't understand why he can't see how his action of loving Robyn so much more has hurt the other wives. Meri didn't react well - and she believes in the religion so much that she finds it hard to leave.

Looking at this makes me certain Nick cannon can't be full time dad to his kids. My kids 2 have 2 full-time parents and we still struggling to be present just working 9-5

By the time Robyn came on board, most of the kids were old enough to pay attention to what was going on with their Dad and his over the top attention to Robyn’s kids. By that point they would be hurt and confused and start losing respect for their Dad bit by bit. Especially when he didn’t make an effort to show them the same special attention. Kody did this to himself.
