Hey Quinlan! Thanks for another awesome video, so jealous. My next trip to Japan will definitely include more of the North. So is there any chance you can have an "Xtra" type channel, or a patreon channel, to show a 2 hour version of these videos? 10 minutes really isn't enough for these beautiful places ;) Great work - keep it up.
Wow! I would love to do that. Wasn't sure if there would be any interest yet. I will look into that. Could do a Patreon that provides access to both big clips of done and/or hiking footage with no talking, videos exploring ruins that are kind of "off limits" so I don't want to get in trouble by putting them on the normal public channel, etc.
The scenery is so beautiful! The eye is amazing!! Not far from it, it seemed like there was another eye of the dragon forming in a separate snow pool ! I especially loved the Goshogake volcanic area, with the sulfur and the mud's colors mixing. Thank you so much for the amazing video!
So calm with a bear so close. Your video brightened my day. My trip to Tohoku will eventuate one day although I’m learning that I certainly didn’t plan long enough. Slowly adding more and more places.
Seeing you in the video trails Quinlan 😊 First off; nice blue shirt! Linen? Second; spring... in June?😅 Then the Dragon Eye; like the starter plate in a lake buffet🤩 Trully drone footage gives these videos a whole extra dimention. And the pictures look really like hyper realistic paintings of alien words... It can’t be🤯! Finally! A bear! BearS! Mama bear and cub in toe! 🥳 Epic!🤩
You are my 100% reliable source of thing i have never seen anywhere else. amazing work, however you are making my dream itinerary ridiculously long! lol But thank you!
Amazing video, it's unbelievable how much snow there still is in mid June. Here in Austria you now need to go up to a glacier at around 3.000 meters to find that much. Is there so much snow that it just takes forever to melt or are the temperatures lower in spring/summer?
That area is around 1,500 meters, but still the snow remains. Temperatures are cooler than down in the river plains where Morioka is located. But it's not all that cold during the day. Right now it's around 20 degrees up there during the day.
@@GoNorthJapan Thanks! Here is a suggestion for a "drone tune", soundcloud.com/player-fear/denis-kenzo-feat-sveta-b-lullaby-lonely-trance-journey-speedy-mix
Thanks for another great video! Too bad my visit to Hachimantai was a bit rushed, but it was late autumn and starting to snow already. Still very beautiful. Want to go back.
Hey Quin just came across your channel and just wanted to say I love your style man. Very calming and relaxed vibes you give off brother! Good luck with everything and stay safe
Hey Quinlan, thank you for all your amazing videos. I really love your content and it feels to travel again - and therefore I want to say thank you ❤ Keep going with your awesome videos. Wish you all the best 👍
I use Epidemicsound.com for all the music. I just pay a monthly fee and I can use anything in their library and it's huge. (Maybe when I get more subscribers I could promote them and start getting it for free... one less monthly bill would be good. It's like about $15 a month for the music... and quite a bit more than that per month for the Adobe Creative Suite...) Anyway...! That song is called Divergent - by Ooyy.
I need to visit Yellowstone and other national parks in the States. I've been to embarrassingly view. Maybe in a few years I'll take a half a year trip back to North America.
Not really serious, no. I've seen them in the mountains while on foot about 8 or 9 times, but in almost every single case they were already moving away from me by the time I noticed them. (I've also seen them crossing the road a good half dozen times as well while driving.) A couple weeks ago when I saw one near the summit of Mt. Iwate it was the most intimidating as the bear stopped for 3 seconds to look at me before moving on at a gradual pace. I was freaked out and stood still holding my pepper spray bottle out in front of me defensively, but he never came at so it was all good.
Dragon Eye!! Ahh I see this place advertised in posters all over the station, gotta get out there one day😄🙌🏻 Awesome footage!!
Next year definitely check it out! I was thinking of our last visit to Goshogake Hot Springs last summer when I made this. Thanks!

@@GoNorthJapan I WOULD WATCH THOSE I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS MAN
Man this place is GORGEOUS!
The dragon's eye is so cool. You're braving than me for being hopeful to see a bear!
Carrying bear spray (pepper spray) at my belt when I'm out in the mountains help me feel less worried about them.
Love the seasonal differences, so cool! (and the drone footage, as always, is breathtaking)
Stunning view :)
Dragon Eyes and onsens and bears, oh my! 😉Phenomenal and breathtaking video shots as always, Quinlan! The aerials were insane! 😍
Came over to this channel from Sharmeleon. (Sharla)

Yes- I was so happy to see those bears! Hope I see more this year!
4:15 Now we see where Taco Bell found inspiration for their logo.
Those aerial shots were STUNNING. Also your cinematography skills are amazing!
Thank you! Little by little I'm getting better (I hope)!

Beautiful spot, but close enough to a bear for me thanks, Quinlan
Hahaha, maybe if I carry a camera with a zoom lens with me I could get a better image even at a distance.
That area is seriously breathtaking, Do you know if there are any fish in those lakes on that altitiude?
I actually don't know. I'm asking someone who would know now. I'll get back to you!
One of my dream destinations. I’ll have to wait til next year.
Fantastic man. Hachimantai and drone shots, perfect combination.
Thanks!!
The drone video and music with it are stunning.
Name of tune at 4:10, please.
P.S. 許してください。Couldn't wait. 'Divergent' by the group Ooyy.

you always got a great place to show
thanks mr
@GoNorth Japan
What gear do you carry on a day like this?
Also very curious to the drone you are using, because this looked absolutely gorgeous!!!
I just had my GoPro Hero8 Black and the drone - a DJI Mavi 2 Zoom.

Love your drone shots!!!!!
Awesome video dude.. it reminds us that big cities are only a small fraction of japan .. keep up the good work
That area looks a lot like the Yellowstone National Park area in Wyoming here in the USA! Definitely would want to visit if I ever go to Japan!
It looks like noboribetsu but on a grander scale! So beautiful... one day....
Thank you, Quinlan. ^^
Thanks for watching!
Waiting for the day that I can 1. Be able to leave nz and 2. Enter japan so that I can experience this awesomeness.
How gorgeous!!! I didn't know the snow stayed into June. How long does it stay snowy in that area?
Not sure how I missed this when it came out! Extraordinary drone shots!
Hey Quinlan, thank you for all your amazing videos. I really love your content and it feels to travel again - and therefore I want to say thank you ❤

Thanks for watching!
Love the video! I would love to know what equipment you use for recording :)
In this video I just use a Gopro Hero8 Black and my DJI Mavic 2 Zoom drone. I also have a Sony A6500, but didn't use it in this video.
It really is something special, so it makes sense to say so!
What is that absolute Jam that is playing when you drone over the Dragon eye?

This video makes me wanna visit there... Is it too late to go see Dragon eye now?
A friend of mine went their yesterday and sent a photo. It's more melted than shown here, but as of June 18th it was still beautiful.
