    Amazing doubles tourney, and glad to see these two get the trophy. It wasn't easy. Dabrowski has had a lot of success as a doubles player, but she hadn't won either a major in women's doubles (she had won in mixed doubles) or a WTA Finals title until she teamed up with Routliffe. They are perfect together.

    sorry, I'm Czech, so I'm Katerina's fan, but after what Gabriela did and experienced for women's doubles, I'd like to congratulate this girl! Gabi, in the Czech Republic we really respect you as a brilliant player, please inspire other girls for your incredible energy that you give to tennis. Finally come to see the beauty of Prague, like my Canadian family! Thx for all things you have done!

      great finals by all 4 ladies. I still would like to see Katya hire Martina Navratilova as her coach for 2025 to teach her serve/volley. If Katya can impliment the serve/volley game, she with any partner will win the grand slam (barring any injuries of course)

    Women's Doubles players are usually more cordial with each other compared to the singles, more hugs to be seen, more embrace and all, but well.......guess not for this one

    • @zweigackroyd7301
      @zweigackroyd7301 2 месяца назад +3

      The observation is simply inaccurate. It all depends on who knows each other well and who doesn't, and the doubles this week has seen both. This was perfectly appropriate, solid handshakes and eye contact.

    I am one who thinks that Townsend could be more of a force if she lost weight; but I have to admit that she gets around the court pretty darn well, and has amazingly fast hands at the net.

    Why does Siniakova lose serve so much? I notice it in a lot of her matches. She seems to have a solid enough serve and groundstrokes and volleys, so what happens?

    • @OCRATHLETE
      @OCRATHLETE 2 месяца назад

      Katya NEEDS to serve/volley. Kick the serve out wide and come in. She needs to hire Martina Navratilova for 2025 to coach her the serve/volley game, and she'll win the 2025 grandslam in doubles
