Thinking about getting one fitted, can the flue come out the back instead of the top ? Is there a difference on performance, we have a air source heat pump it costs a lot to run with hardly any heat output, we use a bioethanol fire to keep warm in winter 😂
Yes, you can come out the back of a stove, most stoves have a choice of top or rear flue exit, you could just need a 90 Tee to come out the back of the stove. Actually coming out the back has the added advantage that it generally moves the stove further into the room and this really helps with efficiency as more of the heat goes into the room as opposed to up the chimney. I have an air source heat pump as well and like you it just doesn’t do the job, that I why I recently installed a boiler stove, you might be interested in that video: ruclips.net/video/DnyDMQRXcqo/видео.html
