Emmy and Grammy Award-winning actor Michael Park will sit down for a one-on-one interview live in The Locher Room on Wednesday, September 27 at 3 p.m. EDT at 3 p.m. EDT / 12 p.m. PDT.
Michael is well-known to daytime audiences for his role as the lovable detective, Jack Snyder on As the World Turns. Michael won back-to-back Emmy’s in 2010 and 2011.
Michael recently starred in the Hulu drama series, Saint X and in 2022 appeared as Philip Abshire in the HBO series The Time Traveler's Wife. He also played reporter Tom Holloway in the third season of the uber popular Netflix series Stranger Things in 2019.
Michael is no stranger to the stage and made his Broadway debut in Smokey Joe’s Café back in 1995. Other Broadway shows include the revival How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, starring Daniel Radcliffe and John Larroquette in 2011. Michael’s most popular Broadway role is Larry Murphy in the original cast of the Tony Award-winning musical, Dear Evan Hanson in 2016. It was this role that earned Michael and the cast the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album.

While I haven't seen As the World Turns, it's wonderful to see how many people love the ship of CarJack. While I haven't seen Dear Evan Hansen (at least on Broadway), I have heard the cast recording and I absolutely love Requiem and Michael was fantastic in the third season of Stranger Things. His character in that show really was a contrast to what his actual personality is like. He does seem like a wonderful person.
He is a great person and a talented man.

Great interview! Michael is just a great actor and a great guy, he is a hoot 😆. I didn't know he could sing! The things you learn, I had heard he did Broadway though. He and Maura were just fantastic together. Good Mick could join, wow time sure does pass he's 30 now??!! What a wonderful interview and Micheal park I still miss as jack.
And Alan I never said this before but I remember tuning into atwt maybe around 1999 after a long time and seeing Micheal park for the first time as a cop and Maura west maybe 2000 and thinking he was another Caleb and Maura was a recast Julie.
But quickly relized they were jack and carly.
And while I still think Caleb died with Micheal David Morrison and never felt gram Winton captured that energy I have to say Micheal park would have made a great Caleb recast too.
Just with his energy level from his performances as jack.
And kudos for Stephen demorest for creating Jack a Snyder cousin in Jack and giving back to atwt something that had been missing since Micheal David Morrisons death.
And doing it in a Doug m approved way.
As for mick hazen he as Parker had a quality a lot like Andy kavovits performances as Paul Ryan.
Even done to the cougerness with maradeth hangners liberty who was playing a teeneger but in real life was several years older. Than mick and of course mick got the honer of killing wally kurths Sam to protect his mother.
And while light compared to the original at least we got a taste of the old atwt with micks performances too.
And while I think most atwt fans are still morning Doug ms death and still have not gotten over it. Like Maureen buars death at guiding light.
These fine actors are still greatly missed.
And Alan maybe at some point you could do another benefit reading and do a Doug m episode with Micheal park because he would be an awesome fill in for Caleb.
And the episodes I would want a reading for is the episodes where Paul shot his dad which aired on 09/05/89 and the next episode and maybe James kibbard could fill in for the great Ben Hendrickson to.
It's just been so long and these fine actors like Micheal park and Maura west as a fill in Julie deserve an opportunity to experience what it was like to read and act out Doug ms material.
