Was on Fraser Island a few years ago. Had my 30 second awning out at Waddy Point, it was a bit windy so I had a leg down and a few pegs in to tie it down. We watched as someone else went further down the beach and proceeded to try and set theres up with the car facing the wrong way. It folded over onto the roof as they were trying to set it up in too high a wind, in the wrong direction, with only one person. They strapped it down and drove off towards orchid beach. Another guy in our group saw this and thought they might be heading to the Orchid Beach rubbish dump. He waited 10 minutes then drove up there, sure enough there was the awning. He packed it into his car, and once home, called them up and ordered all of the required replacement parts to fix the awning for about $450. He still has it, best $450 he's ever spent.

Its refreshing when you get good customer service these days. I live in Minnesota, and even getting support here is a pain at times, great to hear you were supported well.

Great Video. Thanks for showing us the problem and how good the after sales service is. Looked easy enough for two people to swap over the canvas.

Soldering iron to make holes in canvas inline with existing holes in aluminium arms?

Nah, if its a manufacturing fault they should have sent you a whole new kit! You can’t expect the customer to undertake the repairs on a Warranty claim. I hate chinese made shit. We should be able to stitch it here in Australia.
