That is true but he did not buy alpaca, the store sold him another textile material. The price is fine
and sometimes it takes months to build some of these items but not too much people knows and value :(

When I was living in Peru, I didn't appreciate much the things that they sold in those markets, then when I go back I am all over the place because you can't find these unique items, handmade for so cheap. A lot of beautiful art and talent in Peru
Man, so much color in that town. Just gorgeous. I have to say it's a pretty close contest but my vote goes to Alex. That beanie scarf was ingenuous and loved the tie. You both got some awesome items at good prices. Greetings from India! (Leaving soon though.)
handcrafted, ancient techniques, unique, all natural materials, pretty and affordable? Peru textiles totally rock!
People at tourist markets will usually ask for a higher price than what they would settle for, especially for gringos or tourists that look like they have money lol.
A useful phrase for haggling in Peru is: “¿a cuánto me lo deja”, or “¿a cuánto me deja todo?” if you’re buying a bunch of stuff from the same seller.
People will usually substract around 5 to 10 soles or round up to the lowest x10.
I would totally wear Marko's sweater! Everything looks beautiful, though, from the trinkets to the markets.

I've noticed a lot of people thinking that alpaca fiber is the most expensive and soft when actually vicuña fiber is the best. The garments made of this fiber are really expensive! Google vicuña, they're beautiful, very delicate animals.
You guys are my inspiration....I am from India, have only been to Europe as an international tourist. I regularly watch all of your videos and after watching those, I have decided to take one big international trip every year for soothing my soul. Cheers to you guys.

I don't wanna be rude, but in fact the artisans deserve a better paid for their stuff, they spend tons of hours doing just a simple souvenir, must be a fair trade... 😐😑

Trying to find something authentic and memorable within a budget is definitely a challenge. This was a nice exercise in shopping :-). typically I like to look at the local art. Looking forward to getting down to Peru one day..

I love your guys videos! I was wondering about the eurail pass, and I was hoping you guys could help me out? I friend of mine said it's very confusing/ challenging getting around by train but I thought it was easier than flights? Is it because of a language barrier? I'm going to be doing it solo and I'm trying to figure out the best way for me. Would it be easier to fly instead?
