Well, clearly the writers thought so as well since they insert a flashback to that moment about 1000 times. Not saying I disagree, but after the 5th flashback I start to feel insulted. I don't have Alzheimer's yet, I can remember key plot elements, show......
It's a total roller-coaster of emotions!!!!! I already got excited with all the action, I cried with all the tragedy, I gasped with all the unexpected twists... Season 6 is by far the best one and I have heard it can only get better and better.
@@MacDaniboi The second half of seaosn 5 is for sure quite good and enjoyable and sets the ground for season 6 which is by far so much better than the previous ones.
@@MacDaniboi If you can (and I know everybody says this but it's true) check out the manga instead, the anime makes some stupid cuts and decisions a lot of times
little thing that gets overlook and shows why deku is that much "unique" in not having a quirk is that 80% of the population has a quirk. but in the 80% there is the quite old people who had less chance to get one. i would argue that the 20% of quirkless are nearly all between 70 et 100years old cause quirk is genetic ( as seen by the genetic modification on the toe with the doctor scene) and so spreads more each generation
Everything goes with "You Say Run". That's the BGM at 21:13. The counter part is the villains theme, "Rampaging Evil" or "Uncontrollable Evil" at 18:48/19:31. MHA is a great anime! It has incredible music!
I never get tired of people starting and reacting to My Hero. I actively seek out more and more people starting the journey. Just subbed so I'll be here for all that's to come 😁
mha was my first anime, introduced to me by a friend. i adore this series, and it'll always be special to me no matter what. really looking forward to seeing you react to it.
If you're confused about "he looks completely different in person" commentI remember the manga having the line being something like "he's drawn in a completely different style" which is very true
i know im late on this video, but i just had to comment about this; your commentary/observations about the characters and events are already so good!!! so many first time watchers, and even fans, don’t notice/disregard the importance of events and the character traits (such as midoriya’s intelligence and analysis) so it’s super cool to see you catch onto those rather than brush them off!! also, don’t know if you’ve heard but ‘villain deku’ is actually quite a popular sub-branch of the fandom’s ‘what if’ explorations LOL (although less so in recent years), i was surprised to hear you say he’d make a terrifying villain because you’re totally right!!!! all that to say i LOVE your commentary and can’t wait to catch up - time to binge ur videos, heh
A little late to the party here but here I am. There’s actually a line in episode two that u like better in the dub than the sub, and to me it hits harder too. When Deku is trying to save Bakugo from the sludge villain, in the sub he says “You looked like you were asking for help.” But in the dub Deku says “I couldn’t just stand there and watch you die.” To me that one hits deeper, especially considering how many heroes were just standing around and not even TRYING at that point to do anything, even All Might.
Hey there, I just found your channel, wanted to say that MHA is my absolute favorite show (as you may or may not have noticed from my username) and I love talking about it, so if you see any really long comments, that’s probably me. These first two episode must be one of the best introductions I’ve ever seen in anything. Heck, the very first scene shows you exactly who the main character is, with a young Deku crying and scared, but still standing up to people stronger than him to protect someone, as well as one of the biggest statements that’s going to inform the whole story: All men are not created equally. The exposition is handled greatly, giving us enough to understand the current state of this world without overdoing it, a pattern that will continue throughout the show. And the action is not only bombastic, but it shows how the presence of heroes affects the lives of ordinary people, which is also going to be very important. We see Deku’s current life, as well as his history, both of which were full of people doubting him and telling him he can’t achieve his dreams. Keep this background in mind, as it’ll inform his character for the rest of the show, in good and bad ways. Also, child Deku is the cutest thing in the world and must be protected at all costs. All Might’s design is a statement to how good mangaka Kohei Horikoshi is at character design. Inspired by classic Japanese characters like Goku, as well as western heroes like Superman and Captain America (the latter is true even for his backstory). He’s everything we expect a superhero to be. And I can’t not mention his theme, “Watashi ga kita”, or “I am here”. It’s soaring and bombastic, dominating a scene whenever it plays, much like how All Might dominates any room he’s in. But All Might also serves as our first big moment of expectation subversion, when this huge hero suddenly turns into a skinny guy coughing blood, the stark contrast of the invincible hero he was presented to be. And that’s very much by design, as he talks about how, despite having been gravely injured, he still maintains a facade of invincibility for the sake of the public. That’s another hugely important aspect of the story. As you can see, this perfect introduction gives us tons of essential information that will inform some of the biggest moments in the series, but does so almost unnoticeably. I’m glad you’re already picking up on some of the subtext. So many great heroes in one place (including the number 1 hero), yet all they do when a kid was taken hostage is sit around and wait for someone else to come. This and some more information we got from the first episode hints that heroes have become complacent, which, speaking as someone who’s caught up with the anime, _will definitely not have serious ramifications at all._ Then comes the very first scene that made me realize this show was something truly special. In a scene with so many powerful heroes, the only one who acted was a quirkless kid. A quirkless kid who ran into danger to save someone, his bully of all people. And why did he do this? To prove he was capable? To spite everyone who doubted him? No. He ran because he felt someone needed saving. Even if that someone was awful to him. And notice how he says this with a smile on his face, just like All Might himself always does. Also the MUSIC? There’s a reason why this track, “You Say Run”, is the most iconic in the series and even became a meme. Because it’s great! Yuki Hayashi really gave his all composing the soundtrack, and continues giving his all to this day, so all praise to him. These are two small moments between two big ones, but I feel like they’re important to mention. Firstly, how Deku was scolded for trying to save someone, while Bakugo was praised for resisting the villain, despite his Explosion quirk being the reason for most of the destruction. It shows that Deku is persecuted on an institutional level. Everything he does is reason for criticism, while everything the talented Bakugo does gets him praise. Speaking of Bakugo, even though Deku saved his life, he still refuses to spare him as much as a “thank you”. Bakugo has quite a lot of emotional and psychological baggage himself, which I’ll definitely talk about in depth in a couple episodes. But then comes the other scene that convinced me this was gonna be one of my favorite shows. Finally, after so many years, someone, the number 1 hero no less, tells Deku the few words he wanted to hear all his life: “You can become a hero.” (Also this is the name of the soundtrack for this scene, which is also phenomenal.) All Might standing before a crying Deku, the sunset behind him, the hopeful music… It astounded me when I first watched it years ago. Watching it now, having seen Deku and All Might’s journey… it gives me even more chills. And it all culminates in Deku revealing that this is the story of how he became the greatest hero, which again, was amazing when I first saw it, and straight up tear-driving and poetic having watched season 6. And this is my short essay on why the first two episodes of MHA are perfect. I’ll continue watching your reactions and writing some more whenever I have something to say, which is often.
"i like you a lot, also I hate you!" this is the biggest mood when watching early bakugo lmao , he's so fun but he's also a bitch so I always went back and forth
I forgot that mt lady was a really really new hero- Spoiler alert I like how one of the newest heroes, who everyone thought of as just another show off,is one of the few remaining true heroes

As a disabled person (with an invisible disability, thanks chronic pain/s) I really appreciate how all might handled the situation with deku. I hate when shows or movies are like “you can do anything if you put your mind to it!” Like I’ll never get to be a teacher again because of my limited energy and my sensory overload disorders. I can’t do a 9-5 and I have extreme anxiety over living on my own despite being 26. There are things me and my friends will never be able to do because of our disabilities and that’s ok! There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. But dekus quirk he gets is an ability aid that’s allows him to be a hero
Kat-chan/Kacchan is a childhood nickname Midoriya Izuku uses for Bakugo, which is taken from Bakugo's first name, Katsuki. Kat-suki -> Kat-chan -> Ka-chan. The extra c wasn't necessary but its English mechanics...
9:03 That's how everyone is when a new season of their favorite anime or a new chapter of their favorite manga or a video game that looks great is announced.
I just found you and you are my favorite reactor, wickedly perceptive and empathetic. You comment fast yet still think through what you are saying first. Love the commentary! I definitely want to watch all your MHA reactions for sure. Characters in Japan are known by different names based off of the relationships they hold and what setting they are in. For instance, Katsuki Bakugo aka "Kacchan." Katsuki is his first name which is used by friends/ in informal settings. Bakugo is his last name which is used in more formal settings/ by older characters as a sign of respect. And Kacchan is the nickname given to him by Izuku Midoriya aka Deku because he views him as a friend. Which is why characters are called different names by different characters. And so on and so forth like Izuku (1st name) Midoriya (his last name) and Deku (nickname). So people refer to them by whatever name they find easiest to remember! =^_^= Side note: Everyone says Deku cries too much and it's only because it is one of the first representations of a male character where they aren't shamed for showing their emotions. It is okay to cry and show how passionate you are about something. Obviously, in his case, it's wanting to become a hero. People just aren't used to men being shown crying in general and I'm glad this show tries to flip that perception on its head. Lastly, Deku is my absolute favorite, him and one other character who I won't name yet because you haven't been introduced yet. But Deku reminds me of myself when I was younger, which is another reason why I hate when people complain about him. You did not, I've just seen other people complaining. He's been called whiny and pathetic and cited as people's reasons for not completing the show. They couldn't get past "all his crying." I've also seen people comment that they "didn't trust him as a character because he is too nice. And no one is that nice without having underlying motives." Which is ridiculous. It might seem like no one in the world acts that way, but there are people out there as sensitive and nice as him. I was one of those people, so I relate to him most. I'm too nice to the point where, "I would give someone the shirt off my own back even if I was freezing, and I knew they were lying about needing it." I saw people in my life who weren't the best role models, and I wanted to be the opposite of them and how they acted. But I took it too far in the other direction, where people would walk all over me as a result. Sorry to rant but I'm as passionate about this show as Deku is about heroes XD
I honestly forgot how awesome the first few seasons were. It's been hit and miss lately but just about everything up to and including the Eri arc were outstanding.

Faxityy : be like in minute 16:18
Intense suffering 😭😭😭
I love mha, not in my top 10 but it's still awesome anime. I even liked season 4 and 5 when people were really giving the show shit.
Your mood about Katsuki is the same as mine.
He's so cool! I hate you so much, Kat.
Those are literally my two moods😭😭😭
Bakugo best chara ngl
I know I'm months late, but I HAVE seen a few Villain Deku AU fics where he uses his Quirk knowledge and such
You have a few seasons to catch up there buddy ❤
Time to start another MHA reaction journey and I'm here for it 🔥🔥🔥
I think 2 episodes is too early to decide if the show is fire or not! I decided after watching the first tournament arc in season 2!
Ok i'm gonna follow you're watching my fav show and one of the best ever 😁
Yeeeeees!!!! MHA & DBZA all I want from you zaddy
God Speed!!! This show is so fucking good bro please watch more!
I never realized faxx haven't seen mha
Man bakugou
Hahahaaha
So much change
There have been 8 character popularity polls in Japan
5 in usa
The only characters who have won are deku and bakugo
Deku won 2 from the 13,1 in each
Bakugo WON EVERYTHING ELSE for every year after the 1St popularity poll ij each region
5:10 there's a fan made deku villain manga
that sounds sick
Bro this whole show gets you hype.
PLEASE PLEASE try the dub. Before it is too late, not that the sub is bad--but the Dub of mha is REALLY good.
Please try it out, it deserves a chance before you become too used to the sub.
No
@@Faxityy Bro really couldn’t just say “I’m sticking to the sub because ___ reason” or “I prefer the sub more”
