- Yes, I know it's a mess...no judging! I tend to just throw all the miscellaneous stuff I don't know what to do with when I get back home from the road in this drawer...this is about four trips of accumulated unknown crap without a home...because as a so called "adult", I don't have a designated spot for my ball and jacks ,Silly Putty, bottle of "Liquid Ass" ( see Amazon for info on that... heinous stuff..everyone should have a bottle around, just in case).... nor my mini clothespins ; so better late than never..could have been 5 trips (no it couldn't...the drawers couldn't fit anymore, I had to do clean it out) :) :) I hope you enjoy!

Hello, if I have asked these questions before then I apologize, love the video, so relaxing. I'm really ready to do some asmr videos and just don't know where to begin on what equipment to use. Could you tell me what your equipment set up is, for instance do you use a smart phone on a tripod or video camera on tripod or regular camera on tripod and do you use a separate microphone. And where is the camera positioned, also on your equipment do you have a reverse LCD screen so you know what your video looks like when you are filming? I did a few with my smartphone and it just didn't turn out that good.

Hi Andrea! I just got some other equipment (Canon vixia with a external mic input and a Mic with phantom power supply) but I am not using that setup yet because it needs to convert file formats and in my opinion my smartphone has been doing a pretty good job...Most of my earlier videos were filmed with a Galaxy Note 5...Also a Galaxy 5..and presently I am using the Galaxy 7 edge ...which is my least favorite. I use a regular tripod and the setup is the most time consuming.... it's just trial and error till I get a angle I like...no viewfinder so I usually film about a minute..stop and go look at it......and make any adjustments ...and start filming from the beginning trying to keep going and just edit out any interruption or errant noise that may be unwanted...
I have a feeling that your videos are probably just fine...I think we all have a tendency to be over critical of our own stuff. I have some sitting already uploaded and edited that I will never publish because of something I hated that no one else will notice...so what I am trying to say is... go for it..just have fun with it and if there is something you would change...publish the video anyway and change it on the next one...you never know... what you thought was a mistake, others may absolutely love...I will look forward to you posting! And if you have any other questions feel free to ask....I am no way a expert...in fact I like my ASMR kinda simple and uncomplicated ...but if there is any question you have I can answer, I will be happy to!

The sounds are great. But part of ASMR for me and I know lots of others, is about the hand motions. And you do things very rough and fast. Some people close their eyes and just listen. I like to do both. And with your videos, your not very gentle. Your fast and rough. Not trying to upset anyone or have anyone attack me for my opinion. But I think if you were just more calm with your hand movements and not so rush, but took your time, it would be much easier to enjoy. But the sounds are very well done!
Hi Brandy... I would never fault anyone for what they prefer... I have misophonia, which is aversion to sounds as well as ASMR... videos with wet mouth sounds and most crinkling are worse than nails on a blackboard for me.. 1,000,000 times worse...so I completely understand we all have our own individual subtleties for particular triggers... I would never discount what yours are.. that would be like insulting someone for not liking Dr. Pepper just because I like it... I got a bit of a giggle though because this is my "gentle and slow" setting.....IRL I have a two settings , the no-patience whirlwind setting and the asleep setting... . This is me slowing down...where this may be fast to you ...I get that tempo can be important, but everyone has different preferences. And I just try to do what comes naturally for me... how I would do it in everyday real life.. For me personally, videos with exaggerated hand movements that are done slowly are painful for me to watch... to me they seem contrived and unrealistic so they don't do anything for me... many like them..and none of us are wrong... it's just personal preferences. :)

brandy gray right everyone has their preferences.. I prefer it done as natural as possible.. When they slow their hand movement on purpose it takes away from it being natural.. I love that she is going through the junk drawer just as she would if not recording.
