I’m fine, the boat is sitting in the back yard with a tarp over it. Life has taken some unexpected turns over the past couple of years, but I am planning to get back at the boat work in the next few weeks. Once it warms up just a bit…
I didn’t add more plywood than what was there originally. Difference is that the new stuff is sealed better than the original. I am planning to get back at it in the next few weeks. The whole project got put on hold due to dealing/helping with aging parents… boat has been waiting for me under a tarp.
I'm doing fine - but got sidetracked with some other more urgent projects in the summer, then I got more busy with my job in the fall, and now it's too cold to do anything on the boat until spring. Happy New Year to you too!
Hey buddy can’t wait to see some more pics n vids, where you out of? I’m working on my favorite body line boat right now 79 240sv she’s being sanded down now, putting a 350 murc out of my Larson in it
I used exterior plywood. Nothing fancy. Many people will tell you that you need to use marine plywood. If I was building a wood boat, that would be true. As it is, the real difference between marine plywood and regular exterior plywood is the lack of voids in the marine ply - important in a wood boat, not an issue being the “core” in a glass boat. Both types of wood use waterproof glue, both will rot just as fast if left exposed to water.
I wonder what plans you have for the portholes/windows? I do have a searay from that era and I would really like to replace those portholes with something new without having to deal with mayor fiber glass work for it. Thanks!!!
I removed the old plastic/cracked frames, bonded in wood supports on the inside, and created flush mounted windows using tinted lexan. Hopefully it was the right choice. The boat has been under a tarp waiting for me since the last video. Hoping to get back at it in a few weeks.
Unfortunately - no new developments. Didn't really get anything done on it last summer (too many other "priority" projects), but hoping to get back to it in the spring.
Very nice job! Looking forward to final reveal. GOD bless. JC
Hi, I discovered your channel recently… Great videos by the way
Getting prettier every day! Nice job
Thanks! Hoping to get more done - and another video up - soon. Been kinda busy the past couple of weeks with car and van repairs...
I feel ya! It's nice to have the sunshine to catch up on all of those projects! :)
The white is so much nicer looking.
It sure is - and the white I used is a brighter white than what was there before.
Hope your ok

We have a Sea ray weekender 300 1977 and surprisingly it needs work too
By the time they get to be this old, they all need some kind of work!
For sure
Nice. Watched all 20. Can't wait for update. Will it float, or sink because of all that plywood you added. I would have done the same. Built to last

I’m in southern Ontario. Just north of Toronto.
Great job. Keep up the good work. I just have to ask, could you please film more content of you doing the work.
I'll try - sometimes I just get caught up with getting something done, then realize I forgot to shoot video... But thanks for the encouragement!
When is the part 21 coming
@@BGDave Soon I hope - the beginning of the summer was going well, but then the rest of my life suddenly got a lot busier than expected!
@@zero_to_floating8338 Cool thanks
Yes would love to see you doing the work also, great videos and explanations.
How's the weather up there? Getting back to the sea ray soon? 😁
Where's are ya? Where's the boat?
I was just curious what type of plywood you used for everything the transom stringers floor etc
