Those are very nice. You may as well just go ahead and order you one.
I noticed that one was built 12/21 and it didn’t have a heated steering wheel. I would also say the heated and cooled seats don’t actually work until the retro fit becomes available. I also don’t think the multipro tailgate is power up, which they never was power up even before the chip shortages. Either way a nice truck.
Also heard my name again lol. Tow/haul lets you pull out in first gear instead second like normal. Very noticeable difference too lol.
Lol, if that was a 3500 and a gasser, I may have pulled the trigger and did some testing with it for a year but I need at least 3600+ of payload to stay within my fifth wheel limit.
It’s crazy that the manufactures can’t persuade their vendors to work double shifts until they catch up but it’s also helping GM save money!
Yea you taught me a lot about the GM trucks so I can’t take all the credit for this knowledge lol! Thanks 👍🏾
@@JB_WhoWork yeah I know this chip shortage is ridiculous. My truck has a heated wheel and seats but only by a matter of a few days. I don’t know it’s exact build date but my salesman sent me the build sheet for it on November 13 and November 15 was when they stopped the heated wheel and seats in everything except a Denali and High Country.
Glad to help. I like trucks as much as you do. Always been a Chevy guy too so they are what I know pretty good.
@@matthewanderson9912 my truck was built 12/20/21. It's a 2500 SLT Gas. I have to wait for the heated steering wheel and the heat/vent seats to be retrofitted in later. So you're probably right about this AT4 as well...
@@06AngusSG yeah it was luck of the draw for me for my LT Silverado having them. Like I mentioned mine made the cut off by just literally a few days, maybe just a day. My truck was scheduled to be built the first week of November. I know nothing had changed with it production code wise during that first week and then when GM announced starting on November 15 they would be missing those options I figured mine would end up not having it. But like I mentioned my salesman sent me the build sheet on November 13 so it was at least built by then.
Boom - you nailed it as usual. Your videos are more informative than most. Spot on & it’s obvious you know trucks. Keep up the good work.
Nice review JB! I have the same truck but in onyx black with gas engine. Payload on mine is 3359 lbs. I love it. Its a sharp looking truck! Ordered in late September and picked it up early December. Can't wait to tow my trailer in the spring!
Nice congrats bro!
Excellent video I appreciate your comments knowledge 👍 you explain all the Details about this magnificent equipment. I respect everybody's opinions, I order the AT4 2500 blue metallic, Thank you for your video
The 22 interior refresh on the Denali is off the charts! They really upped their game against the Ram interior
The refresh took place for the 1500s not the 2500 yet
I have the same truck only in white. I had the 2019 1500 at4 6.2 previously then I traded it in on the 2022 2500 at4hd diesel. I absolutely love the diesel for towing my enclosed or dump trailer's. Great video!!
That’s awesome, congrats 👍🏾
My 2020 duramax is same color. Amazing blue. Would love a gmc though. Beautiful trucks
Hopefully picking mine up this week. Exact same truck, so stoked
Nice, good luck with your purchase 👍🏾
JB, per our discussion from another vid I noticed one small difference in off-road capability over a more basic trim with the Z31 package. 34.1” tires. Less than inch taller but taller. Gorgeous truck of course. My optioned out silver SLE gasser w/5th pkg is almost here my first GMC product
Thanks for sharing and good luck with your order 👍🏾👍🏾
My dream truck and color..
Love the look of these trucks!!!!!!!
💯🔥
Nice looking truck you found JB. Some great features and for an A/T truck it has a pretty good payload number and towing.
I agree, this combo looks great 👍🏾
JB... You are in my neck of the woods in Louisiana. I got the 2022 Ram 3500 Limited on Monday last week. The wait wasn't as bad as I was thinking. It took 4 months.
Ha, small world! That’s not bad at all congrats 👍🏾
Good review.
Saw a video in the past where you’re doing a tow review of a 2500 and you talk about the steering wheel wander being fixed. Trying to find the video again cause I’m shopping for one now and wondering if that truck had plow/camper front springs or not. Or if just in general it’s completely fixed. Would love to see the window sticker on the one you tested. Thanks for your videos they’ve been very informative!
The IFS seems to leave the steering a little light but a WDH would fix this for you assuming you’re towing conventionally. This truck has the 5600# GAWR so I think this truck did not have the prep for plow 👍🏾
Great looking truck! And 3035 payload in a 2500. I gotta say this is what a 2500 should be. Thanks JB!🇺🇸💪
I’m hoping RAM will adopt this in the next year or generation 👍🏾🇺🇸
@@JB_WhoWork another thing I hope there “Add” is both electronic up tailgate. And ports for aux camera’s in more places. Like 3aux cameras would be really cool and nice
Love the AT4!
In December, I bought a GMC Sierra limited AT4 with a cayenne red tentcoat! I absolutely love the truck.
Congrats!!!
are you still loving the truck ?
Best vehicle I've ever owned@@gallardo360
I just bought this truck in black I love it
Congrats 🔥
Thank You for the video... I'm buying one soon... To pull my New Camper
That’s awesome!
Great review, definitely my next truck but in white
Thanks 👍🏾
I just bought a Cayenne red and love it
Excellent review
Thanks Jeff 👍🏾
What are the blank buttons on the left and right on the switch block?
That’s what I’m looking for
Almost bought a 3500 at4 and glad I did not with diesel prices.. plus I want the AT4x with the new interior...as you stated if a bigger screen, game changer..well they supposedly are putting in a 10.3" or so.... I will get one eventually...
Yea hopefully this is the highest diesel will go 👍🏾
Leather interior of this gmc looks just a good as my ram cummins Tradesman without Leather.
😂😂 I’m a ram truck fanatic, but relax there not even close lol
Does the 2022 gmc sierra 2500 at4 6.6 gasser get locking rear diff?
It’s 2022 and General Motors is still using that 8 inch screen from 2015, hope they update the HD truck interiors soon, they are falling behind. They are perfect trucks by the way, just needs that update.
I think 2023 model will be GM’s year 👍🏾
My second choice of trucks.
Me too!
Which is better the Cummins or duramax?
I don’t know about GMC HD’s assuming there doing the same thing cuz there same company but the 2024 chevy HD’s are getting a really good redesign and have the “same” interior that the 1500’s have for 2022/23
Just bought that exact same color and model truck...
Congrats bro!!!
Hahaha. Man, you finally got to my AT4 review. I don’t know if you remember but I was asking you to find an AT4 for review over a year ago. Great breakdown but I still love my Ram.
I remember, I found one awhile ago but the truck was already spoken for and they didn’t feel comfortable letting me review it 🤷♂️… You made the right choice 👍🏾
Alright man look, very informative video and I like the detail you went into. BUT--you really don't have to say "they do," "they do," for every item lol
Indeed, very nice. Blue? I don't know. Maybe it will pass quickly? What about the green ones? Seen any of those? Black is a stunner, that's certain. Despite what they say, interior is fine - it's a TRUCK, not a Cadillac... Thanks JB, really appreciate the info, and the door info most of all - helps with our decision: we are going 3500!
I just mentioned to another viewer some don’t mind the simple interior of the GM trucks but since Ford/RAM are going for the luxury interior, GM needs to catch up too. I have not seen the green yet but will keep my eyes peeled for one.
Thanks, I feel like the payload/tow numbers set me apart since most don’t show it on YT 👍🏾
My new truck is the Forest Metallic. '22 Sierra SLT 2500. Absolutely no regrets going with that color. My old truck was a 2011 Imperial Blue Sierra. I'm loving this new green though!
Once gmc upgrades the interior in luxury it will definitely be on top of Ford & Dodge Ram
Just a incredibly gorgeous truck, I would not ever get it dirty. I know nothing about the engine or transmission and would like to know how it compares to the ram Cummins
Cummins has no competition when it comes to longevity and exhaust brakes. 6.7 Cummins is used in commercial applications like school busses, city busses, big trucks, mining equipment and so on. Competitors engines not used anywhere else except their own vehicles.
I wouldn’t want to take this off-road either lol!
I am sitting here so ready to pull the trigger on a 2500hd at4 or denali. gotta see tax return this weekend.
do you think the 6.6L gas with 6 speed is acceptable for a 34ft 5th wheel camper? wife does not want diesel and I do but not the $10k add on!!!!
Gas would do fine unless you plan on going up and down grades a lot. I would consider a 3500 unless the trailer is below 11k GVWR than the 2500 would be fine 👍🏾
@@JB_WhoWork so gas is fine.. and go 3500... want the diesel but $85k is just pain in the wallet!!!
thx.. love your reviews btw! keep on doing them plz!!
Thanks Jeffrey, the diesel doesn’t do all it can do for the consumer and I’m appalled why the manufactures don’t fight to make them the best they can be… if you were to take off the DPF/SCR/DEF/EGR, the diesel could get 30 MPG unloaded and closer to 13-15 MPG loaded down to 15k 👍🏾
Hoping the new interior comes out this year. Love the truck but to me it's not worth $80K for an outdated interior compared to Ford and Ram.
I think they will update interior and refresh exterior next model year 👍🏾
GM better trucks period. The other two are wow with interior. The upgrade Interior of gm is not that flashy neither. Every body wants big screen infotainment systems.
When are the 2500s getting the interior upgrade that the 1500s got
Hasn’t been announced yet
24
Love the exterior but they need to step up on the interior, I know it’s in progress. I guess having a longhorn it’s just hard to beat a ram interior.
I have a feeling someone got fired at GM when they saw what RAM unveiled that same year…
If I’m not mistaken, the brand new one it’s already upgraded isn’t, with the Denali ultimate and the at4x, this particular one is still the prior model.
Do they still have the independent front suspension?
They do
Do they plan on changing to the solid front axle?
I doubt it, GM has been doing the IFS for awhile and it seems to be working for them
You know you can push both buttons on the tailgate at the same time and it slinkies all the way down with the step out....also those fender lights stick out like a sore thumb...would look much better if they smoked the lenses for a stealth look....
Thanks for the info, for such a big truck the amber doesn’t bother me but I agree that smoked lenses would clean it up
@@JB_WhoWork they do sell those smoked lenses
Leaf springs so much simpler suspension. Less wear items to be replaced.
Yea and I think they have a lower chance at sagging over time 👍🏾
@@JB_WhoWork agree 100%.
👍👍👍👍👍
78,000.00 for the color blue. Not used to these numbers yet
It’s steep but diesel trucks have always been pretty steep 👍🏾
This is still not the newest version right?
It is but 2023 should be a facelift and new interior 👍🏾
JB, you were being "nice" about that horrible interior dash. Welcome to the 80s car rental! That dash is why GM is ranking #3 right now.
😆 It’s definitely last place but some people do prefer the simplicity of this interior. I still think GM should shoot for the stars for an $80k truck 👍🏾
Bro you must be the only person in the world that likes the bike reflectors ! Lol
🤘🏾🤘🏾 they add a nice accent to the truck 😅
@@JB_WhoWork yeah if you switch them
Out for paint match ones with just the gmc shining through
That would look better and it seems like your liking your gasser GMC Sierra 👀
@@JB_WhoWork well it’s not a ford or Ram but it’s something
Lol!
Hey big buck truck BUT the deal breaker is still NO 10 speed trans offered for gas engines.
I agree!
Ram does interior better. Just the whole gauge cluster compared to Ram is just no competition (my opinion)
Yea I have to agree but the upcoming half ton will definitely make some waves in the interior department 👀
@@JB_WhoWork I’m loyal 😂
I'm still not impressed with the interior, can't imagine paying over 70k for that, but do like the look and the options.
2023 will bring a new interior and enhanced exterior front/rear which would really put them up there with RAM 👍🏾
@@JB_WhoWork maybe the next Gen RAM they can do the TRX interior with a bigger cab or whatever.
The inside looks like a base model ram lol
I agree with you 100%.
Yea the interior is definitely lacking 👍🏾
Same old GMC interior. Still stuck in the 90s. Guess they still have not learned from the RAM interior followed by the Ford. SMH
Hope my man didn't pay over MSRP for this 😇😇🇺🇸
No dealer sells at MSRP
Short answer. No not personally I don’t like the package as much as the Ram packages
Also I want to see a video idea. The deep difference of 1500 (air suspension) 2500. 3500. And 4500. For springs. Engine. Options. Numbers I think it would be good a educational
If inventory levels were so low, I would be able to do a side by side but this is a great idea 👍🏾
@@JB_WhoWork yeah. Yet another thing that hopefully will get fixed. But just a suggestion. To put on the back burner till possible
Every gm vehicle I have ever owned 5, has been a rust bucket nightmare. Frame, brake lines, Oil and trans lines, rad support, suspention, exhaust, RUST.
Wow sorry to hear that
@@JB_WhoWork GM stands for General Mother F***ing Rust, or GMFR.
The interior in these are so out dated and sucky. Yet they want top tier price!
2023 we should see an update 👍🏾
Nice and all but gm is taking a nose dive. To many electric nannys and super expensive outdated parts , bad engineering
Wow, another Chebby. Sorry. Out
C’mon you know you love that front end 👀
Dear
followers!! Don't let the beautiful pictures confuse you . Anyone who
buys a new car from GENERAL Motors the chance you threw your money into
the trash is very large. In this company there is no customer service,
the company's management does not care at all, if you have a problem or a
malfunction, you can only pray to God there is a chance that the help
will come faster. GM is a very dangerous company, be careful and keep
your money safe.!!!Share so more people don't get screwed.GM is a big bluf
