I had this when I was a kid. Moderate to severe class II. Instead of recommending surgery of my lower jaw the orthodontist extracted bicuspids and pushed my maxilla backwards using head gear with too much force. Now I have a very recessed maxilla and mandible. That was a long time ago, but it had a huge impact on my life.

Sun Rise so basically what has happened is that he/she had the severe problem explained in the video and instead of the orthodontist recommending surgery, they extracted some teeth at the top and used headgear to push all the teeth back with too much force. Now their top jaw is too far back along with the bottom. I hope this helps and you can understand better!

I recommend mewing (proper tongue posture). Hold your tongue on the roof of your mouth for 24/7 except from eating or speaking. This will allow the neck fat to go into the neck making your jaw more visible. The tongue on the roof of the mouth will not only move your jaw foward, but it will move your maxilla (mid-face) foward so your face looks well grown and attractive.

@ Whatever you limiting belief you have will become the truth. If you don't believe in mewing, you will miss out and it will take longer to fet results, since bones become less malleable as you age.

Growth age of jaw
For females, the age jaws stop growing is between 13 and 15. For males the age is between 16 and 18. Your surgeon will be able to tell you if you need to wait a year or two for growing to finish.

Probably a lack of nutrition together with wrong oral posture in development stages is the reason for this.

@@Ketschupable you should still be able to grow bone since you are only 15. Consider yourself lucky. Start eating animal based, lots of animal fat, protein and raw milk if you can get it. Eat a lot of eggs and fish too. Has to be good quality though, ideally from grassfed animals. Combine this nutritional diet with proper oral posture (tongue pushing up and forwards the entire palate). Stay disciplined and you should be able to grow an attractive jaw.

@@Shubham-dg3rb It is absolutely possible possible but only with a complete lifestyle change and dedication. Multiple adults have cited changes and results and Mike Mew himself has said he has seen change at his age. Just expected any easy or quick results. Anything worth doing is hard

@@Shubham-dg3rb 3 most important thibgs-lip seal-while tongue on roof on the mouth-teeth together with light contact though not clenching.It is very hard to learn I admit but a few channels I would recommend are Orthotropics themselves, Astrosky is a really good one. Also on Reddit there is a mewing thread filled with people willing to help you

It can only grow properly if you keep your mouth closed. Everyone should keep their lips together and two rows of teeth together while sucking the tongue up onto the roof of the mouth. This should be the normal position of your jaws and tongue whenever you are not using them. For some people, though, they have been leaving their mouths slightly open habitually and this has caused the tongue to drop down, making the upper jaw too narrow for the tongue to fit onto the roof of the mouth. In that case, you would need expansion from a removable device such as the biobloc.

So I’m 15 and I have Invisalign but my orthodontist never mentioned my jawline but I barely have one and I have an overbite should I be concerned bc my jawline somehow got smaller as I got older
