3RD GEN 4RUNNER FLOPPY MIRROR REPAIR

All three of my 3rd gen 4runners have had this same issue on the drivers side mirror. Since I haven't had any luck finding decent mirrors in the junkyard, I decided to try and fix the mirror. This was an exploratory repair and I only filmed in case it was repairable. This only took maybe an hour, but did require modifying some tools to work. The spring in the mirror is under a lot of tension, so wear safety glasses while pressing the spring.

I am a novice when it comes to repairs like this. I was tired of my floppy mirror that would swing around. I watched your video and I was able to do the repair! Thanks for the tutorial.
