    This scene never gets old. Last time I watched it, I'm sure I had no kids. Now I have three of them. It makes infinitely more sense now.

    I'm not a husband or father yet, but when I am, I'll take this pledge. The people who made this movie are awesome, and have a great understanding of truth.

    Such a beautiful scene. I signed the resolution January 1st 2013 and have just asked those that know me to hold me accountable to it as my family continues to grow.

    You can go to most Christian book stores and they may still have them in stock if not go to family christian book store on line and order it from them. But you need to pray and watch the whole movie 1st. This a large comment and you have to have 2 people witness it. listen to the part where he talks about conflicts and challenges. that is very true and you will be held doubly accountable to those who witnessed it and to God. I wish you the best and may God bless you and your family.

    No doubt, they left out a huge part of the movie where the Mitchell's confront the drunk driver that killed Emily. Personally, I would have pushed for life imprisonment. But I think the maximum a drunk driver has been sentenced is 60 years.

    this is the only movie that has something to do with God I actually love and watch again and again. I'm not against God or anything. I just view my religous beliefs in my words as more open minded then being in what I call a forced comforty. I truly believe all God really wants from all of us is to try a be good loving people and show the world love and make it a better place for the next generation. So as long as you live with love and show it to others I'd say you'll get to heaven. That's my belief anyway. So I really love this movie! And I didn't intend to see it in the first place. I only saw it becasue me and a friend hadn't decided on a movie before we got the thearters so we randomly picked this one and we're both in love with it almost immeditly. So I knew I had to get a copy of it as soon as it came out! And I LOVE IT!

      I agree and also will suggest to you with humility and grace that the only true love that can reform and transform this generation and any future generations is the love of Jesus Christ. It is through his love and grace that men and woman of all places can change and it is only through accepting him as your Lord and Saviour that you, me or any one else will be allowed into heaven. Acts 4:12 "Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none" other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved"

      “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And he (Jesus) said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”
      Matthew 22:36‭-‬40 (ESV)

    Those are what I call true Christ like quotes. And he's right, God sets a blessing and a curse for all of us when we are found by him..., or should I say, when he makes himself known to us. Every time we backslide, go astray, or stand in jeopardy- the consequences can be double. When we knowingly and still do things when we're not supposed to.🔥✨

    I like this. It is not just for men; but also for women too to fight for and protect and guard their marriages. This only works successfully if BOTH PARTIES (Man/Woman) practice this.
    Otherwise; one becomes a door mat and the other a user; should they decide to stay in it!
    Don't mean to soud negative; but this is what I have seen and experienced. Feedack please...
    Not saying I'm perfect; I know I am not; but what ever happened to ppl who are committed to seeing thier families through.

    I would say let the men be the protectors and main providers for their families, to fill the role that God intended for them. It is not being a "door mat" for us women to concentrate on nurturing. the problem comes when we think we know better than God and usurp the responsibility he has for our husbands and fathers. We are equal but different-there is no shame in this. It doesn't make us inferior. That's a lie that Satan and the world's system would want us to believe. We see that in last week's Supreme Court decision, where the U.S. govt. is placing itself above God Himself in defining marriage and declaring that children have no need of both a mother and a father in the home.
    And as for divorce, it's like Nathan said, we have to just be committed to our marriages and families. Once we open our hearts and minds to the possibility/option of divorce, it's too tempting to just give up and take the easy way out during times of difficulty in the relationship. That's why the church's statistics for divorce is about the same as it is in the mainstream secular culture-because Christians keep making excuses why _their_ marriage is the exception to God's rule. This ought not to be.

      Why did God give men and women different roles? Don't tell me, he thought it would be fun and he (also she) likes being arbitrary.

    • @calebhunter7440
      @calebhunter7440 3 года назад

      @@philiprandall9994 Not at all. Men and women are built differently. Women have breasts to feed the baby, which would lead me to assume that they would naturally be homemakers and nurture their child; likewise, men are physically stronger, on average, and thus the more reasonable protector of the family.
      There is nothing sexist about the Bible, men and women were created differently--two thirds of the same whole.
      If you're a man, and can breastfeed, while your wife has burly muscles, then by all means, switch the roles. But that is not how we humans are born to be.
      Please don't think that I'm sexist or anything foolish like that. I'm just explaining how it works biologically.

    • @philiprandall9994
      @philiprandall9994 3 года назад

      @@calebhunter7440 Well, sometimes, I've wished I could breastfeed my own baby. I also would love to be a ballerina and a mermaid. I'm not trans by the way, but men do exhibit so-called "feminine" behaviours.

    • @calebhunter7440
      @calebhunter7440 3 года назад

      @@philiprandall9994 Of course. Such as the "feminine" ability to cry. It's perfectly gender-neutral. But when we cross the line is when it becomes sin--taking what God's made us to be (which He said was good) and changing it, thinking that we know better than He.
