You guys took notes from the Stratford Festival didn't you? ;) I don't blame you if you did, it's one of my favorite renditions as well. The new lyrics to the Fairy Queen's song at the was funny as well. My only gripe is the House of Peers themselves. Their voices were just not good like the fairies' were and was rather hard to sit through, plus their costumes were shabby. Other than that, this was an okay rendition.
Some negativity on here considering this is completely free entertainment 😂 We don't know what sort of budget or casting pool the production had to work within, at least this was largely authentic to the original compared to some modern 'contemporary' G&S interpretations...
Well..... There were certainly was some rough spots here. I still am wondering why Private Willis was dressed as a Yeoman and not as the Coldstream Guard. I know the men's chorus was pretty thin, but the peers looked more like country bumpkins than peers. But copying the opening that was used at Strafford Iolanthe is just a little to far. If they were using Strafford's original sets I could understand that. Plus it would be mentioned in the program they were Strafford's And that annoying stage hand moping........
Hey religious college, stealing is wrong. This is clearly a rip off of the Stratford festival production. And it only get worse the longer you watch. Poorly sung, inane staging, absolute absence of acting...perhaps the worst G&S youll see on RUclips.
I think this is charming. Mizha Overn is the funniest Phyllis that I've ever seen.

They even got the Union Flag upside down. Was that to indicate the distress of the cast, the audience, or everbody present?

Acting like country bumpkins when you're supposed to act like peers is SIGNIFICANTLY funnier.

If you think this is the worst G&S on RUclips, then you haven't watched much RUclips G&S.
