Oooo, love this. I have only made pancakes with my discard. I will try this when I start my sourdough again. Oh and I love Lisa from Farmhouse On Boone.
Oh man i eas just going to ask if there id any oil or butter. My 44 yr old son had gall bladder removed and ,teo days later found out he had necrosis of the pancreas so low and no fat didt with low fiber as well. Bread tastes bad to him for dome reason excey for the Walmart Italian bread which i think is really frence bread. The problem is the use by date is always 2 days away from when i buy it and he cant est that much. So im looking for other options and am just starting to watch videos on bread making. I just bought flatbread crackers low in fat but sooo hard do when i saw you were making crackers i got excited. Would hou by any chance have any ides of fat grams pdr cracker? Depends on how many you make. Formula maybe? Im still learning this diet stuff, forgive me if this is duper dimple n ive confused myself n made it hsrder than it needs to be. Thank you for sharing and teaching too.
First I want to say Thank You, for visiting my channel, I am so happy when people leave comments! I do not know about the nutritional content. I think I could figure it out based on the ingredients, it would take some research. I know the fermenting process that the sourdough starter goes through breaks down a lot of the sugar in the flour so the glycemic load is lower. You definitely can make sourdough without any additional fat added. My basic sourdough bread is flour, water and salt. And basic yeast breads can be made without fat added. It is such a fun hobby. Making bread that you knead is a stress reliever.
Hi, I tried this, but it's stuck to the non stick parchment paper I used after baking. Any specific reason why it's stuck or any great advice. Greetings from Malaysia. 😊
In my video I forgot to show adding butter or oil to the recipe. d Did you add one of those. I believe that might cause the mix to stick to the paper. Thank you for viewing all the way from Malaysia, its exciting to have a viewer from so far away.. I would use one cup of discard 2 tablespoons of butter or oil seasoning of your choice seeds of your choice spread out on you parchment paper but not too thin, bake at 350 for about 5 min, remove from oven and score with knife or pizza cutter and then return to oven for another 5 min, You want to bake until it just begins to turn crispy, Your crackers will continue to harden a bit more as they cool I have been making a cinnamon sugar version lately that I really enjoy.
After watching this one a couple of times I am so tempted to pull it down because it has so many things wrong with it. But its one of my first videos and I am learning from my mistakes. Hopefully I will look back in a year and see how much I have improved. I hear myself breathing in the mike, I left unwritten text prompts in. I forgot to add the melted butter or oil and I say spread it into a triangle at one point (its a rectangle). I also forgot to say you take them out to score with a pizza cutter half way through the baking and then return them to the oven to finish baking to the crispness of your liking.

The other thing I love are discard waffles with different spices. In the fall I made pumpkin spice waffles.
Sounds delish.
Great idea! 🤠
