  • First Look At Ferrari’s Newly Upgraded Aggressive SF-24 Evo
Ferrari shows off there Imola GP upgrades early and give us a preview at there red bull style overbite sidepods. This car is a brand new concept with its overcut design with a different s duct as well. This new Ferrari is suppose to gain at least 3 to 4 tenths which would make them fight red bull every weekend. Imola GP is just days away and plenty more to look forward too!

Dumping hot air from radiators in the path of rear wing makes the air thin which means the rear wing is in effect in straight lines thus increasing straight line speed but they will lose grip in fast corners 🤔
Also DRS means nothing because of that

    • @GameOver-nm2us
      @GameOver-nm2us Месяц назад

what I am guessing is they use the air from the side to decrease drag but the car will still get respectable downforce form the head on air coming. Maybe they calculated it and the time the air comes out hotter and less dense till it reaches the rear wing and small winglets is enough to make it just dense enough to produce good downforce while still having less drag. Although I probably look like an idiot that's trying to look smart here so idk

Unless your car has major flaws like say a Williams or how McLaren was at the start of 2023, where they are so slow that 5 tenths to a second upgrades are possible. if Adrian Newey is saying Redbull is having a hard time making aerodynamic gains then chances are these cars are getting very close to peak performance possibly.

The car looked better before the aero modifications, especially the rear wing when it had the name Ferrari on it. As for the hp logo I think we will get used to it. The Miami livery was a very accomplished introduction to the blue colour in my opinion. It was a startling one-shot deal that showed how fundamentally good-looking the SF-24 is. But I am willing to sacrifice a bit on the aesthetics side if it's to give the car better performances. My impression at the start of the season was that the Ferrari had more potential for development than the Red Bull because the fundamentals were all there. And unlike Mercedes they took the right engineering decisions at the beginning and are now building around that. It's as if they knew with a high amount of certainty the direction they were taking.

Unsurprisingly there isn't much else one can do with spray of car - covers might do their job (limit spray from tires themselves and slightly narrow "beam" of moist) but same time limit of "red flag" or "SC period" won't be increased too much (maybe few percents up) as there is just too much "The SUCC" to lift all the moist up.

I have to believe more teams were eyeing that 23 Merc concept with the overbite wing and the vertical inlet and just waiting for Newey to perfect it. I hope we see more teams have been cooking up these ideas since testing and get them on the track and bring these races closer.

Raincovers are bs, they just need to stall the diffuser in the rain in some way. It'll make for insane wet races, overbody and mechanical platform will be much more important, and deff change up the order!

In case of a wet race they would mount them before the start, if it starts raining during the race they will red flag to let teams mount them safely.

They won't because these won't ever see a real race. Most of the spray comes from the diffuser and these covers will do nothing but help waterlog the wets making racing unable to continue. Its idiotic that they are even wasting time testing them when even a moron could tell you they are not going to solve the issue.

Wheel covers are only of benefit for cars in previous aero regs 2021 and before where the spray was largely produced by the tyres. The ground effect and worsened so many aspects of racing.

The track are not helping when it rains, to many street type circuit that get little wind so it hangs in there and doesnt disperse. They rain guards of whatever or covers don't absolutely nothing, ground effect cars it isn't going to work.

Mclaren got lucky in Mia (super lucky) - SC, RB not performing at peak, and damage to Max's car. Nor isnt really that good either. Ferrari got lucky in Aus too otherwise Sai never wins that race. Lec is a great driver but not very consistent and makes a lot of mistakes. Plus Ferrari usually goes backwards (ie Spa 2022) with their upgrades and considering they are simply playing 'lets copy RB' they will never be ahead considering RB is actually brining upgrades this year vs basically nothing last year. Plus I also still dont think RB is running full power and have not seen the full pace of their car.

    • @superkubus-nk8lb

@@996C4cab man, stop with that bs, we literally know that ferrari isn't just copying rb, since they are the only team to stick to their own suspension and you can't really call it a rb clone at all, added to that, yes last year rb was much stronger than everyone else and the whole "they are holding back" thing made some sense, but this year it doesn't look like it, Perez despite having better time than at the end of the last season still is consistently outperformed by drivers from other teams, max wasn't able to catch Lando in miami (yes if not for safety car norris wouldn't be able to win, but seeing how fast was both his and Oscars (not fully updated) mclarens compared to max, it just feels to me that Lando was just not that good, and not very motivated up to that point (tyres talk isn't the best since we all know that for max there is no difference if you have new or old tyres) and whats with the leclerc slander? He is atm the one of the most consistent drivers on the grid, since the start of the year he didn't drop out of top 4 from any race (only Max did the same, and then he had a dnf, charles didn't) even when he has bad quali he still gets up there in the race, and yes, you can say that Ferrari is the second fastest car, but neither Checo, nor Sainz who had amazing start to the season couldn't keep up with that. It is a long time since 2022 ended, Charles is clearly feeling much more confident, he sees the improvement, and he is surprisingly happy to challenge Lewis next year (i think he may take some pleasure from the possibility of being a man who wins against multiple times world champions in a same car)

@@996C4cab and yeah, ferrari now isn't the ferrari from 2022, there are less mistakes, they look to be on the up, they make bold decisions, they seem to now where they want to be, saying that Freds Ferrari is going to be the same as Italian ferrari is just ridiculous (especially after last year where, after bumpy start, they actually managed to steady the ship and improve their car)
