I nearly jumped out of my seat the other day.
I heard a world famous astronaut Chris Hadfield explain attitude.
He said, it’s one of the most important things when flying a spaceship or a jet airplane.
It’s particularly important when flying a really fast and expensive aircraft.
Attitude is the word that pilots use to describe the orientation of the plane.
Yaw. Pitch. Roll.
If you have the wrong attitude,
it’s VERY difficult to make that wonderful machine go where you want it to go.
I realized that this famous pilot was ALSO saying that our feelings (good, bad, hope-filled or full of despair)
can also determine where we go too.
Just like a jet airplane, our personal attitudes matter.
A good attitude (cheerful, positive, determined, resource-full) is much more likely to get you where you really wanna go
than a bad attitude (depressed, negative, fatalistic).
