Great video, loved the commentary. I'm about to tackle this same job on my h22a swapped '94 civic. It looks to be as what I was expecting to walk into and I'm not as prepared as I thought. We'll see how it goes I guess.
I understood this more than a regular how to video most these other guys do. I can see what all is need to be done, instead of these other guys just talking about it and not show their work on video
Best practice is to use a pulley puller. I didn’t have one so I used a pry bar and hammer and gently tapped it off basically. I think it was easy for me because someone has done stuff to the motor before.
Hey did you prime the engine first before starting, so the oil can travel through the pump? Did u take spark plug out and turn the key to prime the pump to pick up oil to travel through bearing and journal? The reason I am asking because I have replaced my oil pump on my F22A1 I just filled it up with oil in the engine and fill water in the radiator for the time being, but I was just curious cause I'm charging the battery and I'm just wondering if I should start it like the way you did or should I prime the engine first without the spark plug in? I heard to bump it like 5 seconds so on and break 15 seconds then start it.
this was awesome, funny as hell great job

You know. I can’t remember if I did or not. But you definitely have a good idea there. I would say prime it first.
I took my motor completely out
That sounds like a long day.
