Egyptian sources said the same as the video, but they not one thing there wasn't any fleeing soldiers for one reason that the only way out was by boats from suez Simply, they can't leave the island until boats come for them. The Egyptian reports said that they were fighting and no mention of fleeing
Egyptian forces never confirmed anything other that the site was blown up, no proof was given that there were even anywhere close to the 80 allegedly killed Egyptian personnel on the installation by either side, whereas the 6 killed and further dozen severely wounded Israelis were confirmed.
No more than 4 Egyptian personnel (2 sentries, 2 radar operators) were ever confirmed killed in this raid, the Israelis had no proof (as they left) and Egyptian sources to this day are adamant on less than a dozen being killed.
Hats off to all those fallen defending their countries and people. We not fight for our glory but in a hope of peace for our beloved. May God bless all those who sacrificed their lives.
One of the most excellent channels on YT! Would you ever consider doing a video on the 100-Hour War or "Soccer War" between El Salvador and Honduras in 1969? Last dogfight between piston engine fighters I believe
That was a gut wrenching account. As always, your narration, graphics, and detailed storytelling kicked it in the A$$!!! You are the standard that everyone else strives to be.
Great presentation. One suggestion: the fort covers a shipping (or boat) channel leading in. The divers used the shallows to approach. Some details of the depths would have been worth noting, but you showed it quite well. Thanks!
The fact remains the garrison was never confirmed to be anywhere near 80, let alone the number of killed being the ENTIRE 80 men. In fact the only confirmed individuals on the installation were the radar operators and two sentries.
@@sirjamessommer Roughly the same story is a very far stretch from the truth if you actually read both accounts. The garrison numbers were never confirmed and the Israelis claimed over 80 KIA.
@@sirjamessommer Show the Egyptian account stating the garrison was in the 70-80 range. I find it very funny that the Israeli estimates are accurate to you yet the Egyptian accounts are "a bias and untrue account" when their account also confirms the events, just not the number of killed or garrison size. It seems your own bias is showing. The event itself was the most embarrassing thing to Egypt, not the number of personnel lost. If they were to lie about something it would be the cause of the destruction itself.
It would be great if you started a series of videos on operations done during the war of attrition from both the Egyptian and the Israeli side, many of these operations are movie materials not just videos on RUclips
@TheOperationsRoom, at timestamp 4:32 the video seemed to blacked out for 1 second. I do not know if this is intentional or RUclips's video policy to force viewers to blink.
I cant believe that there is no action blockbuster, best VFX winning film inspired by this operation. Its like it was made specifically to be turned into a movie.

Eyo Would You consider a video on the 1973 Israeli covert raid of Lebanon? Egyptian sources said the same as the video, but there weren't any fleeing soldiers for one reason that the only way out was by boats from suez Simply the only way out to fight
Mostly valid and easy to get away with by War Crime standards My biggest complaint is that it’s not only Inhumane; ignorant Teenage conscripts aren’t exactly HVTs But leaving them the allure of the escape boats probably would’ve helped the Israeli’s towards the end Not much need to waste their expensive Ability on Disabling them

Have the viewer counts been down? It seems like there isn’t much yet it’s a popular channel.
The common pattern in these stories: "A much superior force attacked and defeated a much inferior force".
I mean the Israeli force was numerically inferior and tbh the Egyptian had a numerical and defender advantage yet faced more losses
they recount factual events… not like they can make up a story for entertainment
