I loved that dialogue. It show what kind of man he was. Noble, courageous and treated someone else's daughter as his own and loved her like a true dad. She does not deserve a low life creep as her dad, but someone like Maharaja( a great king) as her dad.

One of the best part that sylvam never stole that dustbin it was his own that detail was too good it's tough to realize this point. One main symbolic part is when selvam rob any house he choose something and bring that for his daughter but she always refuse to keep that thing never accepted that gift and in the last scene when she give him the jewelry again which includes that necklace again she give back to him without knowing he is her father that was best detail again and last clip ofcourse that blood and her feet was again significance of red diamond necklace.

The snake shown in the movie is symbolic as the snake can't differntiate their eggs with others and end up eating their own like the villian did
