Responsibility of the Ummah is to worship God alone without associating partners with Him or invoking anyone name, yet during the Azan and Salat we invoke Muhammads name. I often ponder what Muhammad would say about this? Dear Allah. I am a believer and ask you if you want us invoking anyone's name with yours during call to prayer or during salat.New Muslim here. I'm afraid I'm committing shirk by mentioning any Messengers name with you Allah. Help. Ameen
From what i remember (I dont know what specific hadith it it) the first one who called adhan/call for prayer the was a former slave named Bilal first he had dream about this call and consulted prophet muhammad (S.A.W) about it and the prophet commanded him to yell this at the top of masjid alharam/kaaba the prophet said he can hear footsteps of Bilal in jannah. self opinion --> it just declare that muhammad is just a messenger of allah and this message is for all of mankind because some may worship him, some may reject him as a prophet and this for the believers to be reminded of their beloved prophet. For more insights I encourage you to research about it brother or consult someone who has knowledge about it. I have a little knowledge about it so forgive me if im wrong brother and lastly ask Allah(S.W.T) for guidance. May Allah guide us to the straight path ameen
Of course seek knowledge first, ashadith says those who make a path to knowledge, Allah makes the path to jannah easy for them, that maeks quality and dawah makes quantity!
