Thank you David for all your hard work teaching beekeeping. many blessings to you and yours.
I tried that but not many mites were removed without shaking.
David, great job! Spot on delivery, great content... love your personality and advice is very very helpful! Much appreciated. /Paul
These videos have been fantastic. I wish there was a one size fits all mite treatment, but there really are different scenarios. For me, the only time I could use Apiguard is when the clover fizzles out mid-July and I take my summer honey off, until when knotweed starts blooming right about now. I can't use Formic Pro in August because it's too hot. So my approach is to do mite counts when I pull honey off in July. If I have mites in my wash, I do an Oxalic dribble to knock off the phoretic mites, then follow up with Formic Pro in September when the temps are cooler. I could also just use Apiguard in that mid July to end of August timeframe, skip Formic Pro, which seems to be hard on queens, and then do OAV once brood rearing pretty much stops in late October. So many variables, so I think it's worth it to learn about all of these methods and use the data available to make treatment decisions. Thanks for the overview of all these options.
David: Finding your channel was an excellent find. Your teaching has enabled me to try splits, catch a Queen, catch a wild swarm and check and treat for mites. Between you my head is full of Bee facts put into action. Thanks.
That is very rewarding to hear. Thanks Mark
Thank you for fantastic content and wealth of information on bees. Your videos are super helpful for those of us who are starting this hobby. Keep up the great work!
That you so much Greg, I appreciate that.
Good thinking ! 😉 Just did my Apiguard Varroa Mite Treatment today here in Scotland 🏴.
Will do the 2nd required Tray of Apiguard, in two weeks time. Needs to be above 16C / 64F to work correctly. Come mid Sept... Scot gets closer to being nippy! (aka Cold,) As a Nation, didn't invent Whiskey for nothing. 🤣
Apiguard is a really nice product. Alas, EU, and UK only sell those little Foil Trays amounts (A Vet Meds Licensing Remit.) However, I think in USA and CA, I've seen Beeks have super Big Green Tubs of the stuff. 🤭 Think Kamon Reynolds was using the Tub in his YT Video. 😏

Happy Beekeeping 2022

Thank you for this video David! I bought Apiguard in early August and have yet to treat because we are approaching goldenrod season. Hoping to treat before it gets too cold 🤞🏻

Glad to help
I'm a beginner. Thanks for the tips.
Thanks David, you answered my question on whether to pull my super before applying Apiguard.
Glad to help Earl
Very helpful thanks. 👍
Great job!
Good stuff Dave. 👏
It also treats chalkbrood. Good educational video's, thank you David
Yes, atleast this is what the company says, "No commercial treatment specifically targeting chalkbrood is currently available, but Apiguard has been shown to be effective."
Thanks for the video!
Great information!
Thanks and keep producing videos!
Thanks Norm!
Hey, we like the cut of your jib! Quality queens, 21 days laying for vitality, tracking and vetting stock!
Hello from Ukraine! I like your vlogs, and apply some of the tips on my apiary
Good stuff. Thanks
thanks for the how-to
I don’t follow one beekeeper in particular. However, I have incorporated more of your suggestions than any other.
Very good, thank you from Trentino, North Italy.
You're welcome! My wife will be in Italy in September.
You are my favorite bee man.
Thank you
thank you so much!
I watch your show every week. I’m in east Texas, I keep a deep on with 4 or 5 grams, I use the extra space to place sugar water bananas and I have no problem yet with wanting to build comb. In one hive their actually starting build some there. But you’ll bee ok I think
Thank you Sir!
Thanks for the video. I am going to use Apiguard this week now that I have harvested my honey. Too hot for Formic.
Good luck!
another great video!
I have a double deep so I use a 3/4 inch spacer frame between the 2 deeps with the apiguard there to treat both deeps.
Awesome thanks for the video. Hoping to start beekeeping on our farm soon
You can do it!
