I noticed overtime that BlackBeard is the anti-Luffy of the series. He has Luffy’s Jolly demeanor, silliness, sense of freedom and ambition. But obviously evil to the core. I’d love to see their crews go head to head one day.

I don't think he is evil. Just without morals to a degree. I never had a feeling he was trying to trick people after he revealed his plans. Like when he invited Ace he really meant it probably. He just has a goal in his mind and is willing to get it by any cost. Ofc there are elements of evil in that but not in a classical way. Its not like he would just go berserk on people if he had a different ambition. Problem is that pirates are very normal thing for OP world. And Oda really romanticized them a lot. I would say BB is just "normal" pirate by any standards we have. He is into treasure, drinking, woman, stealing, etc. He dreams big and he isn't afraid to go after the things he wants and use any means necessary. There are no truly evil characters in One Piece. Maybe Imu but we need to figure that out when we get more info. Problem is that they all fall in line to back up their own ideals. Celestial Dragons are born into power and they consider themselves to be Gods. So if someone grows up in that kind of environment its only logical to consider others as lower beings. This is why I don't consider BB to be entirely evil. Kaido was most evil guy probably so far. Dude just wanted a huge war where a lot of people would die cause he was bored out of his life. For some reason I find that Kaido is also the most interesting character Oda has written. I find Doflamingo to be evil too. On the person to person level he is the most evil guy in OP world. Kaido is more evil in general sense of things but Doflamingo is more rotten. Its really hard to explain. But I find those 2 to be worse then BB for sure.
@@sasagrcevic475 lol a person with no morals is evil to me- 😂 I mean the dude was gonna just let his own crew and marines that had been turned into stone, die just to kill boa and take her fruit. As well as the time he decided to cause a war just to get ace and whitebeard’s fruits, causing tons of people to lose their lives for his greed. Sure he may not be on a specific level of evil from what we’ve seen but that mans is evil.

@@anime_enjoyer5507Luffy tells Sanji he heard about it at a tavern (the same one Shanks frequents) so he maybhave heard it from Shanks himself. We know Shanks heard it from Buggy thanks to the Oden flashback.

I understand that it is because Blackbeard's Darkness is similar to a black hole that attracts and consumes everything, leaving no room for anything to pass or escape, so naturally he is not able to let attacks pass.
It's like with Aokiji, since his body is made of ice it also doesn't have the property of being untouchable since it is a solid material.

What? Is this his first time seeing Ace or a Logia user? By this episode we had already seen Smoker, Enel, Aokiji and Ace himself, and it was obvious physical attacks, like bullets, didn't work on them, so I don't know why he says that, it sounds so silly and stupid imo.
