$70k+, plus deal mark ups of $5-25k, 215 miles of real world range, VW's notoriously horrific software, sketchy charging networks, not Tesla fast charger compatible, First model year - so there are going to be issues after issues and inexperienced VW techs. All these factors make it a huge NO !
Both Motorweek and Edmund range-tested this and got over 230 miles. 215 miles is the worst case condition. ID Buzz got the latest software and hardware on their infotanement. Your comment about software and and tech is therefor absolutely wrong. The software issue concerns older software on VW pre 2023 models. About charging infrastructure, thing is getting better. It s not a reason not to buy non Tesla EVS anymore.
@@jonpetter8921 VW is lightyears behind Tesla as far as software goes, that is a fact that cannot be disputed. As for range, yes 215 IS REAL WORLD RANGE. A $70k+ (before the horrendous dealer markups) EV with less than 300 miles range is unacceptable! And the charging infrastructure has a long way to go before it's acceptable for non-tesla vehicles. The iD Buzz is meant for around town driving only, this is NOT a road tripping vehicle by any means! Those are facts, no sugar coating, real honest facts. this will be a huge loss for VW, they will loose millions on the iD Buzz, sadly!
