If you really look back through the movie, Cindy never *hated* Jimmy. His knowledge and skills just amazed her so much that she didn't know how to relate to him, and it manifested itself in the form of hostility. A fact that she, in her finite elementary schooler words, openly began to admit here. But I also like that the movie didn't push the whole "possible love interest" cliche, whereas the show just deliberately foreshadowed and dramatized the chemistry between Jimmy and Cindy to create more hype.
@Zelda-Wild11 I appreciate that the movie didn't run the chemistry between them into the ground. Yes, there was a connection between them, but the movie didn't deliberately push it
When you think about it, Sheen was right. Nick deep down was insecure otherwise he wouldn’t have to always pick on Jimmy, Carl and Sheen to make himself feel good
That's literally a lot of bullies tbh. I'm surprised they decided to quote it from Sheen. It's usually the adults who notice it. It's more likely quoted to relate to other kids watching or growing up with the film, though.
This movie came before the series, so it makes sense that the movie gave the basic dynamic of jimmy/cindy and libby/sheen. The girls act childishly mean to jimmy and sheen but when matters get serious, cindy and libby's caring feelings start showing
Cindy NEVER hated Jimmy. She probably liked him the moment she first saw him. That’s how girls are at that age. They tease them about boys’ talents because they share the same ones and don’t know how to fully connect to each other because of gender. It’s the way of the world. I like how the TV series goes back and forth between how Jimmy and Cindy feel about each other. It’s not perfect, but you can definitely see them connecting.
I like how we see Cindy’s light side for the very first time in this scene. Her saying that “because there’s a bunch of kids in here that need you” & then saying “and, I do too” really makes me think about where they end up relationship wise by the end of the series. In other words, this scene is like the first seeds of a strong & unique friendship being planted.
@@sweetfreakk Having material gains doesn't make someone stronger. Not even a little. It's easy to idolize someone based on what you see, but the person inside is still a person, flawed like anyone else. It's surprising the comic relief character Sheen was used to convey that in a kids movie.

This is the magnitude of emotion that was lost in the show. Yes, it's a kid's comedy show at heart, but the movie didn't shy away from portraying emotional situations that a real kid would have.

1:06 to 2:12 And yet in the Jimmy Neutron TV series, Cindy treats Jimmy like how the town treats Chicken Little, especially in Lights!, Camera!, Danger!, A Beautiful Mine, and The Incredible Shrinking Town.
I think 💭 the reason why Jimmy Neutron was too remorse, insecured 😟, stress, and anxious 😦 to follow the “don’t talk to strangers” rule by his parents is because he was worried 😧 that if he follows the rule he might not be able to prove the city 🌃 people wrong 🤥 that aliens 👽 are real, and can be found somewhere in outer space, that he might have to run 🏃 away from home 🏠 never to come back to the town again forever, feeling sad 😞.
I think another reason why Jimmy Neutron disobeyed his parents “don’t talk to strangers” rule was because Jimmy Neutron was too greedy and selfish to use his energy to research 🧐 extraterrestrial 👽 life to prove the entire townspeople of the town Retroville, Texas that aliens 👽 and extraterrestrial life are real and can be found somewhere in outer space 🪐. This is likely because Jimmy Neutron like Timmy Turner, Peppa Pig, and Hazel Charming have a Christopher Columbus-like belief, believing that they live in a world where their human or human-like bodies have no space limitations on their human and human-like energy. This can be due to the fact that like most Europeans or white-skin people at the time of Christopher Columbus’s life and his discovery of the Americas and the New World, little science existed at the time of the extremely controversial explorer’s 🧭 lifetime time period life.
