Welcome back, movie lovers! I'm still tackling the list of movies that I need to catch up on and this time we're talking about The Fall Guy. When I saw trailers for this movie I didn't really put too much thought into the story, I was more interested in the next Leitch movie. Around the time of this movie's release I was kinda up and down MOSTLY DOWN mentally so I wasn't thinking about it too much BUT my Honey said he wanted to go watch it and I'm so glad we caught this one in theaters.
The Fall Guy is such a fun movie with fantastic acting and even better stunts. If your a fan of stunt work, the director, the actors, the genre (comedy, action, romance) then I think this movie is absolutely worth watching.
I did see some comments saying the movie dragged in places and that the romance was too much. I think if you can sit back and just have fun with a movie, you don't mind a heavy dose of romance (this is a romance movie) then you'll be entertained!

After leaving the business one year earlier, battle-scarred stuntman Colt Seavers springs back into action when the star of a big studio movie suddenly disappears. As the mystery surrounding the missing actor deepens, Colt soon finds himself ensnared in a sinister plot that pushes him to the edge of a fall more dangerous than any stunt.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO AGREE WITH ME (THAT'S OKAY I SUPPORT YOU) THIS IS ALL MY OPINION but this is a fantastic movie. Кино
I loved it. Barbie was the first Ryan Gosling movie I have seen, and I worked in a theater. I am 78. I have now seen all of his movies. He has never been typecast. I am reading "Project: Hail Mary" and an not a fan of Sci-Fi, but I love it and it seems to be written for Ryan Gosling. I can see him on every page.
Great review! I love the way you thoroughly reacted to other reviews, and I totally agree with you! I've seen it several times and enjoy it more with each rewatch.
No one points out the long sleeve white shirt that Ryan wears when they have the seen with the garbage truck. I noticed that across the large letters it said "union" in cursive and I knew one was an "A", but couldn't decide on the other. I also noticed that it said "solidarity" down the left arm and "union strong" on the other. I finally when looking at the costuming found which union it was referring to and it is The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees.
The 2 weirdest comments I have seen made. A woman who went to one of the openings said, "there were just too many stunts". I commented, "well, the movie is ABOUT STUNTS" and to think there needs to be fewer is nuts. The other one was really off the wall nuts. It was a man and said he left after 20 minutes because Jody was supposed to be seductive, and Emily is 41 and shows it. To begin with Jody is the director and not supposed to be seducing her staff and Emily looks great, especially for someone over 40.
