Never knew Mirka was a tennis player at one time. That would explain, why she loves to watch so much, and not so much as a fan, she seems pretty serious all the time. :)
It's nice to see that she would give up on her career to help support her future husband's career a hundred percent. And also I read somewhere her decision to retire early was also that she suffered with multiple injuries very early on in her career and that's why her body gave up on her so instead she chose to travel with him and be by his side. That says a lot about her character as the unsaid force behind Roger.

So miss the Hopman Cup in Perth. It was killed off by Tennis Australia, and was a more leisurely and fun way for players to adjust to the dreadful heat of the Australian summer. One of the last matches had Serena Williams serving to Roger Federer, it was incredible. And the diamond-encrusted tennis ball trophies were so sweet.

This has to be put in context! Roger Federer was barely 18 and Mirka was a few years older. They met at the 2000 Olympics and they obviously developed a serious Chemistry going forward..Great story and two times identical twins later going forward!
